Scenario:.
2 buildings.
16 security doors.
Various access required.

Solution:
A master key system with sub master sets.

Staff keys access all ground floor areas in building A only.
Blue keys access all areas, both floors in building A only.

Staff keys access all ground floor areas in building B only.
Red keys access all areas, both floors in building B only.

Black keys access all floors in both buildings.

Keys are restricted for security.
The system can be expanded to cover more doors, more levels, or more buildings etc.
System can introduce new access requirement sets.

This means every person that needs access to certain rooms, only ever carry one key.

This takes a little bit of thought, a lot of concentration and planning, n our part, some careful installation, and eliminates all access rights issues and confusion over different locks, keys, doors, buildings etc.

No need to complicate things , free quotes and advice as always

Protect your Assets!

Work Vans?
Protected them mate πŸ‘

This week we are looking at additions.

The Car Defender (or work van) can now be attached to your home alarm system.

Hooked over the steering wheel with quick attach/release clasp it couldn't be easier.

As soon as the device recognises any movement whilst the system is armed, it can activate your Alarm and/or notify your mobile phone.

Call or message to see how we can help protect the valuables around the external side of your property.

Why we don't offer Free giveaways, competitions, share to win Alarm or CCTV systems...
There is something Free at the end of the post!

Every property is unique.
All of the occupants, family, guests etc approach, enter and leave in different ways with different requirements.
Pets determine how sysyems are designed to offer full protection, detection and awareness.

Accessibility is determined by how mobile users are, can they walk comfortably within a certain time frame around the home? Do they have dexterity enough to allow using buttons on a keypad?

Any giveaway system would be the same as an off-the-shelf kit.
And this just isn't what we do.

We will never raffle a security system for the same reason. A system such as an alarm or CCTV should always be custom designed.

We design and implement a system custom built to requirements. So it's easy to use for all that use it, and it's difficult for an intruder or thief to get around.

So there are set fees available with optional additions.

Now.. some things can be considered as a starter set or just the fundamentals...

So.. we are looking to give one install to a particular kind of requirement.

If you are, or know someone that feels vulnerable, has mobility issues to get to the door, or would benefit from being able to activate a light using their voice or smart phone...

The install will be...

A video doorbell
An alexa dot
A smart lamp (possibly with colour changing)
An ability to call a family member entirely hands free

The install will need:
Home broadband
A smart phone or tablet (and the ability to use it)
A suitable candidate:
- reside in the Houghton, Hetton, Sunderland area
- be elderly, frail or infirm, have dexterity issues, live alone or with one other only
- be able to accommodate the install time reasonably
Subject to terms and conditions

We have only one of these offers, details on how to qualify will be posted this evening.

Install will be late October/beginning November onwards.

Please don't nominate someone that can just afford to buy this install. This is about giving a surplus order to someone that could really need or use it for their own safety and well being.

As the install would usually amount to around Β£350+, we will in return be asking for promotion of the post in the form of likes and shares

You will need to:
πŸ‘Like the page ( Lock Security ) not just the post.

πŸ‘‰ Message the page with your name or the name of the nominated person, and a reason why they'd benefit from this.

Thank you

Sometimes, the cost to replace older, discontinued lock mechanisms, means also new handles and lock cylinders, additional keys. The cost can add up significantly.
With the age of the door it's a better option to have a new door installed.

This would mean a fresh new look, better protection from the elements, safe and secure access for all involved. And a warranty period giving you an extended period of worry free assurance.

Our friends at PMiller Glazing can supply and fit all your doors and windows, conservatories, tiled rooms on conservatories and so on. They've some great bifold installs and use all the modern colours you may consider.

Client has an upstairs office that needs fast Internet for work, TV, and Games Consoles.
We installed a Cat6 ethernet cable from the ground floor to the first floor office, tested the connection properly, and provided a couple of colour co-ordinated ethernet patch leads.
This will allow him to connect a gigabit ethernet switch and connect all of his devices as a wired connection to his broadband.
If changes are ever made, the colour co-ordinated leads will allow quick identification of which cable connects which device

The bonus features are the ones not offered by cheap deals. Such as AI analytics, push notifications, after sales care and, more importantly, proper professional installation.

Many homes and businesses now have CCTV..
Be it an old analogue system or a more modern IP system.

Whatever you have, we are always able to look at upgrades and extentions to ensure you have the best available system for your budget.

Like our alarms though, every system is custom designed and spec's to get the best images from the cameras location.

A good intruder alarm installer will design the alarm system to suit you and your needs.

We look at who uses the property, when, and how. Then implement a system that is easy to use, and difficult to beat.

You dont get that with off the shelf kits or fixed package prices.

Alarms can be wired, wireless or hybrid, can have smart phone apps, having xall centre monitoring 24/7. And can have many additional features such as perimeter detection, gas, smoke, flood and heat detection.

Using it every day and night, that's your job. That's the easy part.

We do not fit wifi CCTV.
And highly recommend you dont pay to have it installed.

It is just not reliable.
Certainly not for security.

The limitations come as...

Power. The cameras need to have power. If this is battery, then you're having to get the ladders out to change far too often.
If it's going to be cabled to power, it may as well be cabled to a recorder.

Wifi
HD resolution can take up a lot of bandwidth. Most homes want more than one camera so pretty soon the wifi is going to be bottle necked. And of course, when you change your internet hub, the cctv will stop working.

Motion detection.
Most installers of wifi cameras dont have a great knowledge of CCTV. One of the choices to boost the battery life and limit the wifi usage is to record on motion only.
This is a very poor practice.
Particularly as HD images can see everything as movement from grass a d twigs blowing around, to even the clouds blocking the sunlight momentarily. If you're getting motion alerts to your mobile you'll soon be fed up!

No cables?
Whilst it appears neater, you're a totally doing away with the 2 factors cctv needs the most. Good power supply. Good video transmission. And this is where a good installer can make the cabling neat a d either hidden, or protected.

Cost.
Cheaper it may be.
But it's a false sense of security if, when something happens the cameras just arent up to scratch.

Installer choice.
If you choose the installer based on cost, then the cheapest will be wifi. The hard work is taken away. This has opened the doors to every man and his dog installing wifi CCTV. Most of which dont know where to start when it comes to security.

"It's all you need, you dont need anything fancy."
Famous last words those.
And if they come from your installer... the proverbial alarm bells should be ringing. LOUD.

Get a no obligation quotation from a few recommended security installers. If you want to protect your home and family.. why cheap it?

Did you know...
When setting up a CCTV system it needs to be made secure. This includes from hackers.
If your installer doesn't take relevant precautions when setting up your cctv system it can become vulnerable on the network allowing others to access your system and alter how the system works.

We were contacted yesterday by a local that had a system installed by Camtech Fire and Security. They had a camera that had failed and wasn't displaying. We had the issue resolved very quickly but the customer then fell victim to the recent hack on the Hik Vision server. See attached photo.
CCTV and Alarm systems have a set of password credentials, not just the user passwords you may have. If these aren't secure they can become victim to hackers.

In this particular issue the screen displays text asking you to contact them on telegram. Do not do this.

We don't install HikVision by choice but can, and do assist with maintenance and repairs.

If you have had a system installed by CamTech Sunderland be it CCTV, an alarm or a door entry system, then they are no longer trading. We would be happy to support you in maintaing your systems and security.
We provide free quotations.
