A portrait created in memory of a very loved dog 🤍

This piece was commissioned as a gift. We used two photos, one for their expression and character, and another where the features were clearer, so the details could be properly captured.

I worked on this commission at the end of last year for a gift to remember a very loved pup. Hand drawn in graphite pencils on hot pressed paper.

This curious badger is the first piece in my new project drawing British wildlife through the changing seasons 🦡🍂

I initially named it “Guardian of the Trunk” whilst it’s on display at but I still haven’t decided on a final name. So new name suggestions are welcome!

Hello I’m Amelia 👋 I thought after 5 years of posting my artwork I’d properly introduce myself 😊

I’m a graphic designer from West Yorkshire, who is a self taught artist in my free time. I focus on drawing pets & wildlife which is something that started as a hobby but quickly became one of my favourite things to do.

I work almost entirely in graphite pencils but one day I’d love to bring a bit more colour into my work, maybe blending graphite and coloured pencils together 🌞 and perhaps alongside that, I’ll be releasing prints and greetings cards too👀

Looking back on one of my favourite pieces from 2021 🖤

This commission still feels alive every time I see it. Those eyes are still one of my favourite!
I’m revisiting a few earlier works that I loved creating. Have you seen this one before?

I’ve definitely gained more confidence drawing fur since then, but this one still holds a special place.
