In the scheme of things, this is quite an unassuming watch. It isn’t!

Circa 1980, marking a significant moment in British military watch history, CWC (Cabot Watch Co.) won the contract to supply the Royal Navy divers watch, seen here, replacing the famous Rolex Submariner. Built to Ministry of Defence specifications, this automatic watch is an incredibly rare beast and is already attracting the attention it deserves.

Once again, there’s some nice bits of silver, gold, rings, cabinet collectables and a rather rare, 1980, Navy issue, CWC divers watch that will attract a bit of an audience. There’s cabinet collectables, ceramics and glass too.

Viewing will be on Monday, 24th from 10am to 4pm with an hour to view before the auction on Tuesday.

This is a timed sale of some fantastic whisky, wines, and spirits. Some great mid-century and antique furniture from the likes of Ercol and Duresta and a few boxed lots in the middle full of interesting and practical things. Perfect for eBayers and car booters!

A little about a timed sale: all the items are already live to be bid on. You cannot sneak in at the last minute and get something cheap as this adds five minutes to the bidding, so place your theoretical maximum bids now. If you get outbid later, you’ll be notified.

The lots will draw to a close at 10am on the 18th of August at 10am. They close in a 30 second stagger, meaning lot 1 finishes at 10am and lot 60 will finish at 10.30 am and so on. As mentioned, bidding last minute adds five minutes to the closing time, so we cannot recommend enough bidding early.

Next live auction will be a little smaller than usual and that will be on Tuesday 25th August.

After completing the Leeds Marathon back in May, Gareth has foolishly decided to run another marathon! This time, in October, he’ll be running the 26.2 miles around York for the Altra Yorkshire Marathon 🏃

Gareth’s father suffers with the very cruel disease that is Alzheimer’s, so if you know someone who’s suffered or just feel like being generous for a good cause, any donation would be absolutely fantastic. Both Gareth and Yorkshire Auctions would be so grateful.

Something a bit unusual here at Yorkshire Auctions- I’d like to say it has come through the door, but it’s an inch or so too tall 😂

It’s a vintage Dutch street organ and will be featuring in our next sale on July 28th. It comes with around 40 different musical punch cards and is fitted on a relatively new Ifor Williams trailer as a bit of an added bonus.

If there is anyone seriously interested we can arrange viewing with it not being on-site.

We always like to have interesting things in our auction and this item is no exception!

It’s not often we post selections from the jewellery featuring in our sales, but thought we’d make and exception for these.

The first is a cabochon cut, natural emerald ring surrounded by diamonds in an intricate platinum setting. The emerald is 48.27 carat, so really is quite impressive.

Once again, set in platinum are 12 carats of natural diamonds for the first of the brooches and the second being another statement piece set with natural diamonds and emeralds.

All from a very reputable local jeweller where the pieces didn’t quite suit the stock profile, so we’ve been asked to sell them

All three will be going under the hammer tomorrow.
