HIS is closing for good 😢

Whilst I had stopped walking dogs earlier this year I was still looking after cats & small animals. The time has now come for me to stop those too, effectively closing Him In’t Shorts down.

Having bought a place in Cornwall I hope to be there for much of the summer months so feeding small pets in Huddersfield won’t really work 😂

It’s been a real pleasure for me running HIS for the past 5+ years and I’d like to thank every single client past & present.

My last official day is Sunday 24th November, no bookings will be accepted after that date. All existing bookings will be honoured.

Another one of the current gang. Lily.

Lily lives with Simba, but they aren’t particularly fans of each other, so Lily stays upstairs whilst Simba rules downstairs. She’s very sweet, timid but seems to have accepted me (had her as a client for a while now).

I have pretty much zero chance of getting a photo of Simba, I tend to just see his backside disappearing off down the cellar stairs as soon as I arrive. He’s a big lad, and Ginger, you’ll have to take my word for it!

Haven’t posted anything on here for a few months. Still doing cats & small animals, whilst enjoying retirement.

Currently mega busy, looking after cats Lily, Simba, Martha, Dawn & Phoebe. Rabbits, Cloudy & Coco. And tortoise Albert. With new cats Dylan, Ned & Sid plus Jasmine & Lola all joining in the fun over the next few days.

I think I started the year with 50 cat & small animal clients, that’s now 58 and rising.

Thanks all old & new clients for their continued support. I’ll try post more pics as I go along🐱🐰🐢❤️

Now focusing exclusively on cat & small animal visits. A reminder of the service Him In’t Shorts offers.

HIS can visit your home once or twice a day. Feed, water, empty litter trays and generally check on your cats, rabbits, guniea pigs, hamsters, tortoises etc.

Additionally, can water plants, put bins out, close curtains, move post, turn lights on/off etc.

HIS is fully insured, DBS checked, 100% reliable and very highly rated. We currently have 50+ regular, happy clients (a few of the gang are pictured).

1 visit per day is £8 with 2 visits per day £12.

So that’s it all done. Said goodbye to the last of the doggos today. Bit emotional at times. Now for my Oscar speech thank you’s.

First up, in the weeks before HIS launched I walked dogs for Pebble and Pals dog walking and pet care I treated this as a bit of an induction into the job. So thanks Paul for the inspiration.

Thanks to Linz for supporting my quite staggering idea right back at the start. Leaving a well paid job, company car etc was a bit of a gamble which she went along with.

Thanks to my Mum & Dad, they helped me out as silent partners. My Mum has liked just about all of my Facebook posts too, and Dad helped out with some walks in the first year.

Thanks to Dan & Emily. Dan obviously joined the business eventually but they both supported my original decision and have put up with my constant dog chat.

And finally a massive thanks to every single HIS client I’ve walked for. I’ve always felt privileged that you trusted me with your dogs. It was great for me that so many of you became not just clients but friends. I’ll see loads of you and especially your doggos again for sure.

To be able to pass the dogs over to Louise keeping the packs together has been a brilliant ending for HIS. I wish her as Time For Tails all the success.

Had one of those days today. So a bit late with a HIS look back.

Dan was now my official business partner and we had big plans. A shop, a groomers, staff, all were discussed. But he had a travelling itch that needed scratching so in a flash I was back to being a one man band. We had to let some lovely dogs go as a result, but it was the best decision he’s ever made.

So some ride. Had never owned my own business, started everything from scratch. But did it, got some thank yous to highlight tomorrow as it wasn’t only on me, but I am pretty proud of what I achieved. I changed a bit too highlighted by a few selfies over the years…😂
