A great BNI 10-minute presentation isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a chance to teach your chapter how to find business for you. The better they understand what you do, who your ideal client is, and the problems you solve, the more referrals you’ll receive.
Why every BNI member should do regular 10-minute presentations
* People refer what they remember. If you haven’t presented for six months, you’re relying on old information.
* Your business changes. New services, products, success stories and target markets need to be shared.
* Trust is built through consistency. The more members hear you speak, the more confidence they’ll have introducing you.
* You educate your sales team. Your BNI chapter is effectively dozens of people looking for opportunities on your behalf.
* Real stories stick. A customer success story is far more memorable than a list of services.
* You uncover hidden opportunities. Members often realise, “I know someone who needs exactly that.”
* You improve as a speaker. Every presentation sharpens your communication, making you better in networking meetings and client appointments.
* You stay top of mind. Out of sight often means out of mind.
* You demonstrate expertise. People buy confidence before they buy products or services.
* You give before you receive. A useful, engaging presentation helps everyone learn something - and that’s very much in the spirit of BNI’s “Givers Gain.”
