BNI Marina is a Hull based networking group, meeting every Thursday. We support our members in growing their businesses through passing referrals to each other.

Each member represents a specific industry with only one place available per sector.

Another Thursday. Another packed room. Another reminder of why this works. 🙌

We kicked off with Jack's education slot and it was a masterclass in delivery!

The theme? A gaggle of geese. Turns out geese know a thing or two about teamwork, support, & forward movement. The honking? That's communication. The thrust? That's momentum. Jack got to the point (V) and it was absolutely all in the delivery!

Then the room got to work.

60-second slots flew around the table and the best ones, as always, were the specific asks. Named person. Named company. That's the very best kind of request.

Two members flagged upcoming changes in employment legislation and rental housing law. If either of those affect your business, you might want to get yourself in this room sharpish.

Sharon from Journeys by Sharon took her 10-minute spotlight and walked us through the world of tailor-made travel. Cruises, ABTA, ATOL, travel insurance, and why declaring your medical history properly actually matters. Very useful stuff.

One heads up: Thursday 26th June is a training day so no visitors that week. Message us about any other Thursday and we'll get you in.

Last Thursday we got to know Katie from MaHullSive Knits a little better. 🧶

Katie runs arm knitting and craft workshops across Hull and East Yorkshire, and her 10-minute member spotlight gave us exactly what we needed to start sending the right people her way.

That’s the whole point of the slot. Every week, one member takes the floor and walks the room through what they do, who they help, and what a great referral looks like for them. No guesswork. Just better connections.

Last week it was arm knitting. Next week it’ll be someone else entirely.

Meet Caroline 👋 Caroline has just joined BNI Marina, and she brings something a little different to the breakfast table.

Caroline is the founder of Creative Abundance Studio, home to The Potteries in Hornsea. A two-time Yorkshire Prestige Pottery Studio of the Year winner, it's a creative wellness hub where pottery painting, clay making, memory bears, workshops, a cafe, and an artisan gift shop all live under one roof.
