Dear Friends, today I have closed my books for taking on any more orders for Court Mounting medals in time for Remembrance Weekend, unless I have already accepted your order.

Dear friends, past and present customers. I just need to clarify a point from my rather long post regarding winding down the business. I have since that day had dozens of emails and messages of thanks and appreciation, which is most humbling. It would seem that some may have sped read the piece and misinterpreted it, thinking I was retiring completely, that is not the case yet! I am continuing to Court Mount your medals and I will continue to accept orders for framing projects that can be collected directly from me. I have also had enquiries asking if I can recommend any other companies who will build bespoke memorabilia frames, unfortunately I don't know of anyone else. Once again, thanks for all the lovely messages. Please feel free to repost this.

I’ve just started reading a book entitled Embrace the Chaos. Written by Jason Fox. Ex SAS. Just flicked through and came across a chapter titled “If there is nothing to do, do nothing “. Except it was in deployment language! Something I tried to do and get people to do but somehow senior management didn’t agree 😵‍💫

Here are some photos of the finished frame mentioned below.

I have just received this testimonial from a customer who collected his memorabilia frame tonight.

Tim created me a truly outstanding frame displaying my service medals, ranks, units and deployments. A treasure that will stay in the family for years to come. I am so pleased with the result, as it is a perfect way to capture and celebrate my service career. I highly recommend Tim and his beautiful work. I was reduced to tears on collection. Thank you so much.

I’ve not posted for a while and thought it was about time I did. This memorabilia frame is ready to be collected later today for presentation at a Top Table later this month. I have blanked out the name plaque at the top centre of the frame for privacy purposes.

Dear followers and friends. I have, as of today, decided that I am going to slowly start to bring the business to a close. I want to be able to spend more time enjoying full time retirement and being able to give more time to my family, my garden, the house and going to the gym and taking fishing back up!

In 2012; while I was still serving, I was approached by an RE Captain asking me if I knew anybody who could frame his military medals? I boldly said I can do that! And TFP Courtmounting was born. So after a crash self taught course in picture framing I produced my first memorabilia frame, as below. When I retired from the Royal Air Force in 2013 I set up my little cottage industry. I thought to my-self, If I got an order a month I will be happy, there have been months when there have been multiple orders a day, such is the popularity of Military Memorabilia Frames now, especially as leaving presents.

I have developed various ways of displaying the myriad of items people entrusted in me and have sent or handed over to me. Some have been quite simple and some have been frustratingly difficult, and thanks to the unique military sense of humour, some have made me smile, but I have not once given into a challenge.

I was; a few years ago, approached by a local museum and asked to produce a special display piece to commemorate the award of the highest act of Valour that a British Service man or woman can be awarded, " The Victoria Cross ". The medals for display were all replica as the originals are housed in a regimental museum. To my knowledge, my frame is still on display, and a piece I was particularly proud of.

So from today, 21 June 2024; I am going to start the winding down process, I will no longer be taking orders for POSTAL framing projects. Those already in the system will of course be honoured. If you would like to have something framed and are happy to collect the finished item I will be happy to discuss things with you. Medal mounting has not affected by these changes to the business.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my past clients for their business, patience and frequent kind words. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on all of your projects.

If there is anyone out there who is looking for a new line of work I will be happy to pass on my knowledge!

Thank You

Kind Regards Tim

Here is some feedback from one of my customers, I am very humbled. Thank you Gareth.

Fast and first class service from Tim as always. The medals are perfectly cleaned and completely re-done with all new materials. This is something that other, cheaper, 'local' services simply have not done for me and other colleagues in the past - reusing the same old ribbon and brooches, with the medals returned without cleaning. In contrast, the work from Tim is gleaming and shows his professionalism and dedication to his work and reputation. Thank you again Tim!

Dear followers, I have up-dated my website recently and have created a number of what I believe to be 'User Friendly' order forms. I have moved away from the Word format as more and more people now work from hand-held devices. They are all of the on-line type form and can be completed on any device. Here is a link https://www.tfpcourtmounting.co.uk/place-an-order
Once you have completed the appropriate form simply hit the Submit Button. I try to respond to your orders within 24 hours.
