8 years ago I took a leap of faith into the world of self employment. There have been highs and lows but most importantly 8 years of unbelievable growth, both the business and myself. To think I sat at my desk wondering how to get my first client, and now the team has grown to four of us regularly working on a daily basis! Best move I've ever made, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me, and a thank you to everyone who discouraged me. I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for you all 😉

It's the big reveal... These new pink shoes are heading to London to be the new face of the Pink Shoe Club held at the House of Lords. We're on our way to the annual winter soiree, where we will be officially joining the team to run the administration of the Pink Shoe Foundation. Confession time!

Well two confessions really. What jobs do you love to put off? Believe it or not, mine's my filing. Cobblers children and all that.

This month I've tried to reframe it, time to look at it as a treat. Time to (and here's my confession number two) listen to my guilty pleasure.... Nashville soundtrack!

I don't often listen to music as I work, as I love to sing so find myself getting distracted. This way, I've turned a pain into a pleasure.

I learnt a great tip at networking group last week. "focus on a task for 90 minutes then give yourself a break for 20 minutes to so something as a treat"

So that's what my client and I did today!

We are well and truly in "Tax Return Season"! So far we have submitted returns for a Pole Fitness Instructor and a Fashion Designer. It's varied, but the numbers all mean the same! We've got one more to do this week for a Make Up Artist before taking a few days off for Half Term!
