A slate covered generator house, with an ancient oak tree I could rock with one hand leaning over it. And a suspected bat roost in the stem!! The answer? Pole chainsaw to reach it from a 4x4 cherrypicker and everything had to be hitched up remotely and gently lowered. Guying the tree next week to save the bat habitat.

Heres a classic example of this devastating and now completely widespread disease. If the tree is in a hazardous location then this is the point in time to remove it. If it declines any more and cannot be felled, then it will be unsafe to climb and will need to be dismantled from a cherrypicker increasing the cost. Stay safe and well everyone.

Hi Everyone. The team has discussed. Even though we are outside workers, the only responsible thing to do is to sit this out. A 2m separation is impractical and there is too much risk of cross-contamination from tools and anything we might touch during the day. And without Tea....what is the point!?
