I'm still doing this repair work in my spare time, so bear with me if you do want something repaired.
So far most repairs having been costing £20 plus spare parts, and I will often have them for just over a week. Message me with a picture of what you would like repaired and i will see what I can offer.

So I've been quietly having a good run of successful repairs, Grinters the local building company having been keeping me busy repairing power tools and I've had a couple other repairs such as a Sony CD player which required 4 new buttons soldered back in and the CD arm lubricated to stop it skipping tracks.
I though I'd share a picture one of the most interesting repairs. This is a laser level and the switch sometimes worked and sometimes didn't, when I opened it up this tiny piece of black plastic fell out and that is what caused the problems. That piece is what kept the switch aligned. I found where it had snapped off and put a (tiny) screw in its place.

First local repair.
It was supposed to drive along and shoot missiles, but a poor quality circuit board had peeled which stopped power getting to the motor, and the spring for the missiles was broken.
Some soldering and a new spring has got it working again.

I've come to the realisation that I'm actually quite good at fixing things. I've been taking things apart and fixing things for as long as I can remember, combining that with 10 years in carpentry and joinery and an A* in A-level Electronics, there's not many projects I wouldn't have a go at.
I am hoping there will be enough profit in this to enable me to run a repair service part time, but I am unsure if this will be the case so I'm just going to trial it and see what happens.

The type of repairs I am looking to carry out are electrical/mechanical.
Not tech items like smartphones, TV's or tablets as there are many people offering these services, but more like portable appliances.
For example: Power tools, Household appliances, Children's toys etc.
Each job will be priced individually and I am very open to suggestions so that I can offer a reasonable service. I will also consider taking items that are repairable but no longer wanted, that I can sell on once fixed.

So please message me if there is something you have that needs repairing, and I will let you know if am willing to take it on.
Then hopefully we can save some items that would have been destined for landfill.
