So... that was unexpected.

I’m really happy to share that Lemmon Studios has been named Illustrator of the Year at the Scotland Prestige Awards 2026/27.

I got a very surprising phone call this morning, and almost didn't answer (unknown number and all that 😂). I'm genuinely over the moon to know that the work I create in my little garden studio is reaching people and being appreciated.

A big thank you to all the brilliant clients and supporters who trust me with their projects and help keep this studio busy with creativity. I’m incredibly grateful. 🥰

Thinking of taking part this year? Whether you've taken part before or not - these are the single most important things you can do ahead of registration opening on the 1st of March.

1. Register your email address for the registration wait list

3. CONFIRM your subscription to the email wait list. We're not being awkward - these are GDPR rules - you have to 'opt in'.

We do have administrative criteria, and failing to fill out an application in full, is one of the very few things that could prevent someone from taking part."

We've worked hard and taken great care to provide all you need to fill out your applications to ensure the best chance of success. We'll also do our very best to signpost you to those materials.

Two live, recorded zoom training sessions are coming very soon. You can attend in person AND they will be uploaded to the website.

It is the applicants responsibility to fill out their applications with the correct information in full. Preparing now will make it easier.

I’m finally back ❄️

Even though the Christmas holidays wrapped up last week, Scotland had other ideas… a massive snow dump in the NE brought everything to a standstill (including the schools, meaning I had the littlest Lemmons at home with me 😬).

Now that Christmas has properly passed, I can finally start sharing some of the commissions I worked on in the run-up to Christmas.

Starting with 'Granda’s Boat'. This one needed a fair bit of “artistic licence” due to the age of the original image – some details were definitely… invented 😂 but I loved bringing it back to life.

Tis meeeee!

Eeeeek!! 🫣 Totally missed doing an introduction for our latest artist at Frit and Flux. Louise at Lemmon Studios is a very talented illustrator and has brightened our walls with a huge selection of framed work and prints in A4 & A3 sizes.
I’ve featured a very small sample here but there are lots more to see in the shop, although we’ve sold quite a few while she’s been waiting for us to do this announcement 🤦‍♀️

I’ve officially entered my Bowie Era - no regrets ⚡️

This one has been on my to-do list for so long that one of my besties and my husband genuinely thought I’d already drawn it. 😂

Couldn’t resist finally giving another of Bowie’s iconic personas the attention it deserved.
