💭 85% have changed their mind because of an AI recommendation

Our latest website project is over the line 👏

Hill-Tec has changed a lot over the last few years, so the website needed to catch up with the business it has become.

The new site brings together Hill-Tec’s work across Mechanical Installation, Civils & Infrastructure, Project & Technical Support and Specialist Works, with a much clearer structure and a stronger picture of the projects the team is equipped to deliver.

We also worked on the messaging, user journey and overall look of the site so it feels much more in line with where Hill-Tec is now, and where the business is heading next.

Great to see this feature on M&H Carriers Distribution Service and the journey they’ve been on over the last six years!

We’ve worked alongside the M&H team for a number of years now, and it’s been brilliant to see the business continue to grow, evolve and invest in what comes next.

Fraser MacLean has built an incredible business, and it’s been a privilege for us to help fly the flag for M&H along the way.

There’s clearly plenty more to come, and we’re looking forward to seeing where the next chapter takes them. Lots to be excited about! 🚛

From £9 million turnover and 100 staff to around £50 million and 500 people in six years 🚛

M&H Carriers Managing Director Fraser Maclean recently spoke to The Scotsman about the work behind that growth, from rebuilding the foundations of the business and investing in technology, to expanding the fleet and continuing the move towards electric vehicles.

It has been a period of significant change, but the focus has stayed the same: build the business properly, invest where it matters, and make sure growth is sustainable.

Fraser also talks about the challenges of operating and growing in the north of Scotland, from recruitment and infrastructure to the realities of electrifying a fleet across the Highlands.

A double celebration for Jonathan this week 🎉

First up, HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today 🥳 and then, just a few days later, ONE WHOLE YEAR at Planit! 🩵

Jonathan joined us as our Graduate Graphic & Web Designer on 3rd September 2025, and it has been brilliant to watch him grow over the past year.

From learning new skills and taking on bigger projects to adapting to all the changes we seem to throw his way 😅, Jonathan has taken it all in his stride and become a really important part of the team.

A lot can happen in a year, and we are very excited to see what year two brings.

Another website project live, and another one we’re delighted to share 🌍

Vortex Renewable Services supports the wind energy sector with specialist turbine maintenance and technical services.

Their new website needed to communicate that expertise more clearly, making it easier for potential clients to understand what Vortex does, explore its services and find the information they need.

Good luck to everyone receiving their results today!

Results day can feel like a defining moment, especially when there is so much pressure to know exactly what you want to do next... BUT your results are only one part of your journey, and they do not determine where you will end up.

For DYW's campaign, we often hear from people looking back on the different routes they have taken throughout their careers. Those stories are incredibly valuable, but we also wanted to share the perspective of someone still at the beginning of theirs, and why campaigns like this matter to young people like Loreta.

Loreta joined Planit Scotland after reaching out for work experience, having realised that marketing was the part of business she enjoyed most at school.

“When you are young, it can feel like you are expected to have your whole future planned out. I definitely did not have everything figured out, but I knew marketing interested me.

I initially looked into apprenticeships, but nothing quite worked out. Instead, I reached out to Planit Scotland for experience. That opportunity helped me realise marketing was something I wanted to pursue, and it eventually led to a job where I am continuing to learn and progress.

My experience has shown me that you do not have to go to university, follow the same route as everyone else or have every step planned. Sometimes your path becomes clearer by trying something new, asking for an opportunity and discovering what you enjoy along the way.

One set of results, one course or one first job does not define your future. There really is no wrong path, and it is okay to work things out as you go.”

Loreta is now a huge part of the team at Planit, and her journey is a great reminder that opportunities do not always come from following a perfectly planned route. Who knows where her path will take her next? Sometimes, it all begins by taking a chance and asking the question 🌍 💙

A brilliant weekend for D&E Coaches and a very proud one for Team Planit too 💙

There is a huge amount of work involved in delivering the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival shuttle service, both on the ground and in the weeks leading up to the festival, and we were delighted to play our part in helping everything come together.

A special shout-out has to go to Matt from Team Planit, who put an incredible amount of time, care and effort into supporting the operation.

From working through the finer details of the booking system and making sure everything was ready for one of D&E’s busiest weekends of the year, to being on standby throughout the festival so the team knew support was there if anything cropped up.

Well done to Matt and everyone at D&E Coaches who helped make this year’s service such a success. A proper team effort! 🚌🎶

As another fantastic Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival comes to an end, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year's shuttle bus service such a success 💙🚌🎶
