Ember and Earth – Half Day Retreat

Hosted by Kristy of Yoga with Kristy and Jackie of Fireflies at our Methlick site.

Working with the healing powers of nature we will ground, connect and flow together through a series of asana to open, release tension, build resilience and find space in the body. We will connect with the breath to find steadiness in the mind before moving gently into a deep relaxation leaving you feeling lighter and calmer.

We will gather together around the fire to reflect upon all that we have survived and achieved in the first half of the year, let go of what is no longer serving us and set intentions for the second half of the year.

We will also pause for a drink and snack around the fire, have some relaxing time in a hammock as well as natural craft to take home.

This summer we are combining our Tots and Family sessions, lots of fun outdoors from walking age upwards

These sessions will include crafts, den building, and lots of play in our woodland setting. Where you can swing on our hammocks or climb a tree. The options are as great as your imagination. Time in nature is so important and spending it together builds memories.

Fantastic day working for All Life Chances charity supporting pupils ahead of transition to Academy.

Today's fun included egg drop challenge, clay crafting, fire skills, natural portraits and capture the flag.

So exciting watching them embrace lots of new experiences and grow in confidence over the course of the day.

This week I started my training to become a Nature Connection Qualification Instructor.

Once completed I will be able to offer a qualification that is designed to develop young people's connection with nature using evidence -based techniques developed by world-leading researchers. It bridges the gap between outdoor learning and formal education, giving young people a chance to gain a meaningful, recognised qualification, while le
