Progress in Bury St Edmunds! 🚧

Demolition is now underway at the former eco-flats on Kings Road; clearing the way for a new and sustainable development.

We’re proud to be acting as Principal Contractor for the full structural demolition on behalf of a local developer, who are transforming the site into three houses and six low-carbon apartments, complete with communal gardens! 👏

To enable safe and efficient progress, we worked closely with West Suffolk Council and Suffolk Highways to implement a two-week road closure. This has allowed us to make excellent headway through the structure while minimising disruption to the local community.

A big thank you to TBF Traffic Management for helping us maintain access and keep things moving smoothly. One local resident even commented:

“It’s nice to see such a professional approach to the works.” 👍

As part of our social value commitment, we’ve salvaged all signage from the former Goodfellows flats for refurbishment and reuse by our client — preserving a small piece of local history.

Originally built in 2008, the flats have stood empty since 2021 due to irreparable maintenance issues.

We’re proud to be part of the next chapter for this site.

In this key role, you'll support both office and site teams, manage training records, handle incoming enquiries, and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

✔️ Coordinating staff training and maintaining records
✔️ Managing office supplies and inboxes
✔️ Being the first point of contact for the division
✔️ Supporting sustainability and waste reporting

Another successful bridge demolition under the belt! 🚧

Tru Demolition were back to work on the M25 Junction 10 last weekend, efficiently demolishing and clearing the redundant western gyratory bridge, finishing ahead of schedule and allowing our client to reopen the UK’s busiest motorway earlier than anticipated.

We are very proud to have been a part of a much larger scheme of improvements to the M25 Junction 10, working collaboratively with Balfour Beatty to ensure all works were completed professionally and safely.
