A first look at our latest completed fit-out in Felixstowe. 👀

The Source One team has recently completed this office fit-out for DHL, with the project including new partitions, power and data, decoration, flooring, furniture, office blinds, a new kitchen and graphics.

One of our favourite additions is the self-contained meeting booth, complete with its own lighting and ventilation to create a private space within the open-plan office.

There are some clever practical details too. We created a bespoke wall feature to neatly conceal an existing distribution board, while keeping it accessible and adding useful storage.

We’ve renewed our support as the club’s Ground and First Team Pitch Partner, continuing a relationship that began in 2024.

19,000 metres of cabling. And you can’t see any of it.

That’s just one of the details behind this call centre fit-out we delivered for MTC in Norwich.

Completed in just six weeks, the project included the data and communications infrastructure, new partitions, power, lighting, air conditioning, a kitchen and furniture for the call centre, reception, boardroom and meeting spaces.

The end result? A workplace MTC described as the “jewel in the crown” of their organisation.

We’ve recently revisited this project and updated the case study to share more of what went into creating the finished space.

Fit-out or refurbishment? What’s the difference?

They’re terms that often get used interchangeably, but they’re not quite the same thing.

A fit-out generally takes a new or relatively blank commercial space and turns it into a workplace that’s ready to use.

A refurbishment works with an existing space, updating, improving or reconfiguring what’s already there.

Of course, plenty of projects involve a bit of both!

Ultimately, what matters isn’t the terminology. It’s understanding what needs to change to create a space that works better for the business and the people using it.

💗 The final total is in... £6,671.97!

Back in May, the Source One MoonWalk team completed 26 miles through London overnight, raising money for breast cancer charities.

When we crossed the finish line, we'd already raised more than £6,000. With all the final donations now counted, that amazing total reached £6,671.97.

We couldn't let that go by without saying one more huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported the team and cheered us on.

Every mile, sore foot and blister was worth it. 💗

We're pleased to have renewed our CHAS certification, with Source One now certified as an SSIP Approved Principal Contractor [CDM], as well as Contractor [CDM].

It's perhaps not the most glamorous side of an office fit-out or refurbishment, but making sure every project is managed safely, professionally and properly is a hugely important part of what we do.

Every great workspace starts with the preparation you don't always see.

Before the final furniture goes in and the finished photos are taken, there's a huge amount of work happening behind the scenes.

On one of our current projects, decoration is now underway following the completion of new walls and the careful preparation of existing surfaces. It's these stages that help create the high-quality finish our clients expect.
