The bit clients don't always see.
Most people see the finished office.

The new furniture.

What they don't always see are the countless conversations, site visits, measurements, sketches, supplier calls and problem-solving sessions that happen before a project reaches the finish line.

These photos were taken during a recent project and capture exactly what Source One is all about.

For us, a project isn't something that gets handed over and checked in on occasionally.

We're involved throughout. Working alongside clients, suppliers and contractors, making decisions, solving challenges and making sure every detail comes together exactly as planned.

It's also why many of our clients come back to us time and time again.

Because successful projects are built on relationships as much as they are built on drawings and specifications.

And while we take our work seriously, we believe enjoying the process matters too.

After all, if you're going to spend weeks or months working together, a bit of laughter along the way never hurts.

A lot of workplace issues only become obvious once people start properly using the space.

Glare is one of them.

Large areas of glazing can look fantastic, but without the right treatment they can quickly create problems with screen visibility, harsh light and day-to-day comfort.

MoonWalk London 2026 completed 💗

26 miles through the night.
Very sore feet.
Questionable outfits.
Lots of laughter, tears and blisters.

But we did it 🩷

Together, the Source One MoonWalk team has now raised more than £6000 for breast cancer charities, which is honestly incredible.

This year’s walk carried even more meaning for Lisa following her own experience with breast cancer, making the challenge especially important for the whole team.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated, supported and cheered us on along the way. It genuinely means the world.

Small detail. Big difference.

We recently installed anti-glare window film at one of our office projects and one panel was accidentally missed.

Strangely, it ended up being the perfect way to show how effective it is.

The difference in glare and brightness is much bigger in real life than it looks in photos, especially in offices where screen comfort matters throughout the day.

Next weekend some of the girls from Source One, along with friends and customers, are taking on the MoonWalk London 2026...

There has been training, costumes, decorated bras and plenty of questioning whose idea this actually was…

Recently we were invited back to Attwells Solicitors for the official opening of their new Ipswich office following completion of the fit out.

It was great seeing the space fully in use and filled with people.

One of our favourite details from the project was reusing the original reception logo from the previous office and turning it into a new display feature.

The original desk itself could not be reused, but the logo meant something to the Attwells team, so we kept it and built it into the new space as a surprise.

On the opening day, we were told the lady who had worked on the original reception desk became quite emotional seeing it again, which made the whole idea feel even more worthwhile.

A brilliant project to be involved with from start to finish.

Spending time working through layouts, textiles and ideas, testing what works and what doesn’t, makes a big difference to how a space comes together in the end.

It’s not just about choosing finishes. It’s about understanding how the space will actually feel and function day to day.

Meeting rooms are often one of the most misused spaces in an office.

Either they sit empty most of the time, or there are never enough of them. It’s rarely balanced.

We regularly see large rooms barely used, while smaller spaces are constantly booked out… or teams taking calls at their desks because there’s nowhere else to go.

Getting this right isn’t about adding more rooms.

It’s about understanding how people actually use the space day to day.

Once that’s clear, everything else becomes much easier.

Bringing two offices together into one space sounds straightforward.

It rarely is.

We recently completed a full office fit out for Attwells Solicitors in Ipswich, bringing two very different working environments into one unified space.

One open plan.
One more traditional.

The challenge was getting the balance right.

Open, but not exposed.
Collaborative, but still giving teams the space they need to focus.

Alongside that, we were working to a tight programme, with phased moves that had to happen seamlessly. The office closed on a Friday and reopened on Monday, fully operational.

Projects like this come down to more than just the build.

It’s about working closely with the client, adapting as things evolve, and making sure everything comes together at the right time.
