💪 Sunday Funday — Whole Hog Races Mud Run Edition! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌧️
What a day! Our team took on the Whole Hog Races, and yes… we got really muddy 😅💦 But honestly, it was amazing. Slippery trails, crazy obstacles, lots of laughs — it wasn’t about who finished first or last. It was about being a team and supporting each other every step of the way.
We honestly think every company should do something like this. It’s wild, messy, and fun — but it also shows who your real team players are. Seeing everyone help each other, push through, and just enjoy the moment was priceless.
A big thank you to the organizers for putting on such an incredible event! And huge thanks to our crew for making it such a memorable day. Can’t wait for the next adventure 👊

Meet Circad Design Limited's Production Manager who wants to encourage other women to break barriers in engineering.

Gitana made a unique journey from the world of modelling to electronics engineering and is inspiring women to explore careers in STEM.

Once a finalist in the Miss Continental competition, Gitana, who is still modelling in her spare time, previously ran a business with a partner, worked for a logistics firm and a recruitment company.

In January 2022, she started her career in electronics as a Test Technician with our award-winning design and manufacturing team.

Gitana quickly proved her talent and dedication, earning a promotion to Production Supervisor just a year later.

She said, "I still get invited to model."

Her advice to young women? “I would encourage girls to go into electronic engineering, if it is of interest to them. Women can do anything they set their minds to."

Outside of overseeing production scheduling and ensuring seamless operations, Gitana is passionate about exploring new opportunities, learning about different businesses, travelling, and living a balanced, healthy life.

She adds, “I was surprised to see how many people have long careers at Circad Design. It’s clear they stay because it’s a great company—and I’ve felt that too.”

Congratulations to three of Circad Design Limited’s team who proved they don’t mind getting their hands dirty and stuck in the mud to do obstacle races.

Our Factory Manager, Jurgita Kliminskyte, took part in the 5 mile Suffolk Whole Hog race with her women’s running club at Wantisden, Near Woodbridge, Suffolk, on Sunday.

While our Technical Director, Rick Hamilton, and his wife Karen, who works in our accounts department, successfully completed the more challenging Boss Hog.

“It is a lot of fun,” said Rick. “Karen, me, our CEO Gavin Howlett and Jurgita were all supposed to do it, but Gavin was not well on the day.

“Karen and I both did the Boss Hog that was just short of 8 miles. When we got to the sign splitting the Boss hoggers off for the extra couple of miles, I was quite sad thinking it’s almost over”

Rick said he hopes Circad can enter as Team Circad at next year's Whole Hog races.

Jurgita, who was sporting a few bruises after her race, said, “I really enjoyed it. It was good as my club worked as a team. I’d do it again next year.”
