A reminder that our GoFundMe page is still live and we're currently accepting donations.

The production of this film simply wouldn't have been possible without the 780+ generous people that financially supported our campaign over the last 10 years and now that the film is complete, you can still help.

Further promotion is needed, and this comes at a cost. New donations will go towards marketing spend to boost the visibility of A Memory Owed - Short Film 2025. The more our film is seen, the higher chance we have of making it into a full feature film.

Where there’s an award-winning director, there’s often an award-winning cast.

Alongside a Best Director win for Martin, our cast won Best Acting Ensemble at the London Lift-Off Film Festival 🏆

The exact same duo of awards were won in 2020 by Film Director Philip Barantini and the cast of Boiling Point, which included the acting maestro that is Stephen Graham.

These two awards stand up on their own but are the biggest compliment to each other. A testament to both Martin’s vision & ex*****on and all our actors who gave such poignant performances on screen.

Congratulations to all and a special congratulations for our Casting Director duo of Jacob Buckley and Carla Eve who were fundamental in securing James Bolam and discovering the undeniable talent of Rumi Sutton. As well as Gary Bainbridge of Old Time Design Company for bringing in our reenactor-led Bomber Crew, to Andrew Quinton, Kereim Daley, Liz Thompson, Arya Ninavau and Josh Beswick who blew us away with their auditions.

10 years ago, a decision was made to make a film about RAF Bomber Command.

That decision was made by an individual who, today, has just won an award for Best Director for said film at the London Lift-Off Film Festival.

This is a second Best Director nomination for Martin for A Memory Owed, and his first WIN 🏆. And we could not be prouder or think of a more deserving filmmaker out there to be recognised for his work.

Here's to you, Martin, and here's to all the director's out there dreaming of making films 🎬

In memory of RAF veteran Jack Dark (11th August 1923 - 28th November 2025), who today we are remembering at his funeral, we would like to invite our followers to visit the RAF Benevolent Fund.

In honour of Jack, his service in the RAF during the War (namely of course, in Bomber Command) and his remarkable life thereafterwards, his family have asked that any respects might be paid as a donation to the RAFBF.

We are honoured to have met and worked with Jack, as well as other War veterans, and are proud to support the RAF welfare charity in light of all the work they do to ensure that no one who serves, or has served, is left behind.

The King's Speech this Christmas invoked the wartime spirit, reflecting on the "courage and sacrifice of our service men and women".

Our film is a tribute to those service men and women, and all those impacted by loss.
