It is that time of year when we are entering month 12 of the payroll year and the new year is upon us.
Here is some guidance ……
From April 2022 the rate of National Insurance contributions you pay will change for one year. The amount you contribute will increase by 1.25 percentage points which will be spent on the NHS and social care across the UK.
For 2022/23 the personal allowance remains the same as the previous year at £12,570 – this means your first £12,570 of income is tax-free.
These rates apply from 1 April 2022.

Aged under 18 (but above compulsory school leaving age) £4.81
