I'm supporting World Autism Acceptance Week.

"Autism Acceptance simply means – acceptance, even embracing, of autistics and autism, making them welcome in the world. Recognising that they are members of the human community, and just as deserving of basic human rights, even while acknowledging that their humanness is expressed differently."

I rarely share personal things on social media, in fact, you'll probably notice I rarely post at all. I'm just not a social media fan, but this is important to me.

In February, my daughter received a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We weren't surprised, we weren't even relieved - we've known for years. The diagnosis is unlikely to make any difference to her current day-to-day needs - since 2016 we've fought against dismissive people and services, poor communication and processes, and the internal politics of assessment and provider services, to get her what she needs to fit in and progress in education, without the diagnosis.

I use my car much less than I did before C-19, especially for business miles! so when I renewed my car insurance it made sense to go with a 'pay by the mile' supplier and save money.
