Healthcare companies provide care at very high rates because they are run like profit-making businesses. Their "clients" as they call the vulnerable and elderly they provide services to, get rotating carers who can't hold continuity and are working for very low wages because most of the money goes to the management.
If you are a carer based in or near Cumbria and would like to join the cooperative please contact us. We offer the same working conditions, charge the families lower rates and divide the money coming in more equally among the cooperative.
It is a healthier working environment where the carer, who is usually doing most of the hard work, is looked after as much as the family member they are caring for.
