Yesterday we were in Bournemouth - and revisited the location for Oasis ‘All Around The World’ sleeve shoot. I chose Bournemouth because Wigan Athletic were playing there that weekend, check the video for The Beatles reference and the score of the match!

A series of photos of Oasis as a four piece taken by Patricia Connolly at the Boardwalk, Manchester on August the 14th 1991 have just come up for auction.
Many people have surmised that because Noel was not in the band they would have been known as ‘The Rain’ at this gig, however, research and the date tells us this was the first gig Oasis ever did as Oasis - before Noel joined and are, therefore, the earliest known live gig shots of Oasis in existence. The earliest known five piece gig photos including Noel are from the Middleton Hippodrome gig, supporting Peter Hooks ‘Revenge’ on 20th April 1992.

My favourite jacket of all time. My Left Hand by Massimo Osti multi pocket Thermojoint.
Pictured here in 1997 at the ‘Blind Steps’ in Wigan on location for the Oasis ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’ Sleeve shoot.
I bought that jacket from Way Inn at Harrods the day after Oasis played Earls Court the first time in 1995, it cost a fortune at the time, but was just one of those pieces that once tried on you had to buy!
