An absolute pleasure to meet The King’s sculptor Sandy Stoddart in Paisley the day I received my honorary doctorate. Here’s Sandy presenting me with a cast of one of his works in his studio, truly an astonishing artist.

On our recent trip to Sheffield as well as visiting the location for the Oasis ‘Whatever’ sleeve, we also drove past where we shot Verve’s ‘She’s A Superstar’ on The Snake Pass. Short video here with some key details of the sleeve including how we dyed the river with blue food colouring!

Was in Sheffield yesterday and decided to visit this place and photograph it on the way home, first time I'd been back since 1994 - not changed much has it!
Location - Ringinglow Road, between Ringinglow and Hathersage. There's a rather convenient parking space just off road at the site.
Pic 1 taken yesterday, pic 2 1994.

The Doctor will see you now...
I am delighted to announce I was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University Of The West of Scotland today in a ceremony at Paisley Abbey for my services to graphic design and British Culture. An incredible day also included being introduced to Sandy Stoddart, the King's sculptor who has a workshop on campus - he kindly gave me a gift of a plaster cast of one of his creations. And it was a pleasure to stay at Mar Hall, a spectacular country house hotel as favoured by Liam himself. Thanks to everyone today who made it such a special occassion.
