InGroup Member Spotlight – MB Digital

This week Danny from MB Digital shared how the business continues to grow through trust, service and solving problems properly. From managed print and IT support to large production print systems, the company focuses on looking after customers long term. Danny told the story of installing a 700kg production printer through a tiny upstairs window in rural Yorkshire after promising the customer they could make it work. His message was simple — say yes, find solutions, and always look after people properly.

Had a really good meeting with a new client on Tuesday — always nice when something starts to click early on with the right people and afterwards, we popped into Cartmel Priory for a quick look. Properly impressive space. The light in there’s amazing, and there’s just so much history in the place — hard not to feel a bit inspired by it.

One thing that stood out was the typography carved into the stone. Some of it goes back to 1776 — still sharp, still really well considered… even the old graffiti holds up 😂 .

We’re lucky to be working in such a rich historical area—there’s inspiration everywhere you look.

The InGroup finally caught up with me today and made me do a 10-minute update, but after all the recent changes it was actually nice to show and talk through everything we’ve been working on.

This week, we welcomed Neil from Burnett Design, who gave an engaging overview of the business’s developments over the past six months. From acquiring Craven Digital and doubling their client base to delivering standout branding and website projects for clients such as BIK Systems, the University of Cumbria, and Recruitment Junction, Burnett Design continues to expand. Neil also shared creative branding work-in-progress and discussed the challenges of scaling while maintaining high-quality output.

We teamed up with The Dock Museum in Barrow-in-Furness to give their brand and website design a fresh new look. This local gem is packed with history, hands-on exhibitions, and brilliant family activities – and now their online presence reflects just how good it is in real life.
We created a new logo, colour palette, and brand guidelines, plus a clean, user-friendly website design for their in-house team to build and maintain. The goal? To help more visitors discover this fantastic attraction and make planning a visit super easy.

I wish these presentations came a bit more naturally, but once I get going I actually really enjoy talking through our work. Good to have it done for a while though — and great to present to the InGroup again this morning.

We had a great session this morning with Neil from Burnett Design, who took us through the studio’s key services—branding, print design, and web development—showcasing standout projects for each. From a bold rebrand for CEO to a dynamic new site for a mountain rescue team, it was clear how much thought and value goes into their work. With 16 members attending, 12 referrals shared, and over £14,000 in business reported, it’s been a strong week.

It was great to have worked on a recent site for Purple Lotus Counselling — a Sheffield-based practice offering supportive, confidential therapy both in-person and online.

Christina came to us needing a fresh, mobile-friendly site that felt more aligned with her brand and easier to update. Her old site was dated, clunky, and didn’t reflect the warmth and professionalism of her work.

We created a clean, modern design that’s personal, easy to navigate, and optimised for search. It features her own photography, works beautifully across devices, and gives her full control over her content.

The end result? A site that’s clear, welcoming, and already helping to bring in new enquiries.

Although Christina’s based in Sheffield, this project is a good reminder — location’s never a barrier. We’ve got brilliant local clients, but we also work with businesses across the UK on brand, web and print.

Web & Print – Still Better Together. A lot of businesses focus purely on their website – and fair enough, it’s a big one. Done right, it builds trust, brings in leads, and works 24/7.

But print still pulls its weight. It’s physical, it lingers, and when it’s well designed, it leaves a proper impression.

We recently did a brochure for an electrical contractor in London – something to back up his website and leave behind with clients. It’s bold, eye-catching, and actually gets kept. Same story with a new contractor in Burton-in-Kendal – we’re building his whole brand from scratch, with a proper logo, cards, and stationery to match.

It’s not just trades, either. For interior design studio Nielsen House, we paired a sleek website with an elegant brochure – a key piece in attracting high-end clients and showing off their work the right way.

Bottom line: web and print aren’t either/or. When they work together, they make you look sharper, more consistent, and more memorable.
