Awards are not about winning. They're about visibility.

In this week's solo episode of ๐— ๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐——๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฝ ๐— ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€, I'm talking about why awards can be one of the most powerful ways to build credibility, confidence and opportunities in your business.
We often focus on the trophy, but some of the biggest opportunities happen long before the winners are announced. From networking and collaborations to speaking opportunities and increased visibility, awards can open doors you never expected.

๐— ๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐——๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฝ ๐— ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜:
Your visibility grows the moment you stop treating awards as a trophy and start treating them as a platform. Because awards are not just about being celebrated. They are about being remembered.

Have you listened to this week's Mic Drop Moments Podcast? It's a solo episode from me.

You do not need to shout louder to create more opportunities.

In this solo episode of Mic Drop Moments, I am talking about visibility beyond social media, and why the relationships, conversations, speaking opportunities and trust you have already built could be doing more for your business than you realise.

Released alongside the launch of the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards, this is a timely conversation about being seen, recognised and remembered, without feeling the pressure to be everywhere all the time.

Mic Drop Moment:
Visibility is not about making more noise. It is about giving the right people the chance to see your value.

Entries for the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards are now open ๐Ÿ“ฃ

This is the point where those who have been thinking about it decide whether theyโ€™re going to step forward.

It doesnโ€™t always feel like a big decision at first, but it often creates the magic.

Taking the time to reflect and recognise what youโ€™ve built can change how you see your business.

Then come the conversations, the connections and the opportunities that follow

If this is something youโ€™ve been thinking about, this might be your momentโœจ

๐Ÿญ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—š๐—ผ: The Woman Who Solopreneur Awards open for entry tomorrow!!! Are you a sole trader or sole director in your business?

When it comes to entering an award, I often hear women questioning whether theyโ€™re ready, whether what theyโ€™ve built is enough or whether they should wait until next year.

Itโ€™s a very natural place to sit, especially when youโ€™ve been focused on running your business and havenโ€™t necessarily taken the time to step back and look at everything youโ€™ve achieved so far.

What I see every year is how much changes when someone does take that time to reflect.

Sitting down to write an entry gives you the space to reflect on your journey, put your experiences into words and recognise the progress youโ€™ve made in a way that doesnโ€™t always happen in the day-to-day.

The questions are designed specifically to give value.

How often do you sit down and do that reflection piece?

That process alone can change how you see your business and what youโ€™ve built.

Then thereโ€™s everything that comes from being part of it, from the conversations in the room to the connections that are made and the opportunities that can follow.

There's even a Masterclass on Thursday 11th June to help you with your entry.

Iโ€™m also continuing conversations with businesses who would like to be involved through sponsorship. In fact, there are only a few sponsorship experiences remaining.

If youโ€™d like to know more about sponsorship, message me and Iโ€™ll send you the details.

Entries for the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards open on Monday 1st June.

There are a lot of Awards out there right now so why are these different?

โœจThis is the 8th year of the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards.
โœจTheyโ€™re designed specifically for women building their business as sole directors and sole traders and making those all-important business decisions alone
โœจThere is no voting, no entry fee, and indpenendent transparent judging at two stages with feedback.

Every year I see women step forward who hadnโ€™t initially thought awards were for them.

Every year I see women return event though they've entered or won previously.

Every year I see women walk in alone and walk out of the event with friends, collaborations and new connections.

Thatโ€™s where the value sits.

Entering is about taking a moment to reflect, put things into words and allow yourself to be seen in a different way.

If youโ€™re thinking about entering, or even just starting to consider it, here are the key dates:

1st June โ€“ Entries open and early bird tickets go on sale

11th June - Solopreneur Awards Masterclass Live at 10.00am

13th July โ€“ Entries and early bird period close at Midnight

3rd August โ€“ Finalists announced

14th September โ€“ Finalist Interview Day

9th October โ€“ Woman Who Live & Solopreneur Awards Lunch

Alongside entries, Iโ€™m currently speaking with businesses who want to be part of this event through sponsorship, exhibiting or hosting a series of mastermind tables at Woman Who Live (limited availability).

If youโ€™d like to be in the room, be part of the conversations and connected to a community of women in business, message me and Iโ€™ll send you the details.

Have you listened to this week's Mic Drop Moments Podcast. Its a solo episode with me, Sandra Garlick MBE.

In this reflective solo episode of Mic Drop Moments, Sandra Garlick MBE takes us behind the scenes after the Woman Who Achieves Awards and shares why stepping away has become such an important part of how she leads, grows and protects both herself and her business.

From a powerful week of celebration and big announcements to a business retreat in Portmeirion and time in Miami, Sandra explores the hidden side of visibility, leadership and sustainable growth.

This episode is a reminder that building a business for the long game is not just about pushing forward. It is also about creating space to pause, reflect and think strategically about what comes next.

Mic Drop Moment:

Being seen, heard and celebrated is powerful, but so is knowing when to pause, reflect and protect the person behind the brand.
