‼️THE BASS OF A LIFETIME ‼️80cm ‼️ 11lb 12oz
Here is my client Alfie Clarke who joined me with his dad for a 3 Day Package at South Devon Bass Guide just recently - and clearly what a remarkable 3 days it was! 😄🎣💥.
Dozens of bass landed out on the open coast during darkness despite the cool winds and unseasonal air temperatures. But when the Sun did shine, and the Pirate Lures Teaser was attached following a change of location, all of the mud, rock climbing, up-hill jaunts, and late nights instantly became worth all the effort 💪
Many, many congratulations to Alfie - it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, and a better angler. 🏆🎉These were truly, truly memorable moments, and it was a huge, huge pleasure to be part of it all - and especially pleasing to witness her cruise back off into the murky depths.

💥64cm/6lb+ and new client PB for my client (Dan) who joined me for a professionally guided and instructed session at South Devon Bass Guide Ltd just recently 💥

The classic 'stand the client in the exact position where I expect them to hook a bass over low tide' scenario was played out here, whereby I explained to him how the bass would be mooching through the w**d clumps, searching for crabs along a particular trajectory, as the tide flooded in...

A VERY INTERESTING thing occurred when Dan was retrieving the Megabass , and when the bass was hooked and being brought in - all of which will be revealed in a BLOG POST in the coming days, alongside the full release video of this beautiful bass swimming away gently.

"I'd love to sight fish a bass on a creature Marc!", was the brief...

Back on the guiding at South Devon Bass Guide this week, and following a few small ones, follows, and lost fish 😒 it was a pleasure to guide my client (Adam) onto his first ever 'Creature Bait-caught bass 🦞 Some movement via a swirl, in which I am positive this 54cm bass was stalking a shoal of sand smelt, and a flick close in (as detailed in the image) saw this one race out of a w**d clump to snaffle the Megabass 🎣👌

LURE-CAUGHT | MARCH | 6lb 14oz | GILTHEAD BREAM 💥

A highly memorable 'Client Capture' for my 2nd Guide Joe at South Devon Bass Guide - an astoundingly beautiful 6lb 14oz Gilthead Bream for his very happy client (Steve)

A bycatch, as clearly bass were the target species, but by God a bloody amazing one! 😂 Hooked on the inimitable Megabass 🦀 this monster was landed (eventually!) and taken great care of before being safely released as per the video below. Many congratulations Steve, and of course, Joe 🥇

🏆A 'Client Capture' of 60cm for my 2nd Guide Joe at South Devon Bass Guide 🏆
💥This is why South Devon Bass Guide is providing an ALL-YEAR-ROUND professional guiding service💥Mid-winter, the open coast, some very tasty sea conditions (perfect in fact!) and a Savage Gear Paddle Tail retrieved tight into the beach, and through the melee/undertow that you can see in the image. Joe's client (Maeve Roberts) was absolutely thrilled to catch this fantastic 60cm bass 🎣 And following the comment from Joe that: "If you hook one in here it'll be a donkey", the rod jolted and then hooped over!!! A wonderful red-letter day bass from the open coast at any time of the year, but in mid-January it is very special indeed 💪
