Another week, another fantastic audit result received from The Wood Protection Association. Our preservative treatment site in Hull has passed their Benchmark Quality Approval Scheme.

Well done to our team in Hull - being a part of this scheme gives our valued customers the confidence that their timber is being treated correctly, with fully audited documentation and processes.

We are pleased to announce our latest expansion in partnership with Baltic Distribution, at The Port of Creeksea, Essex!

As part of our continued growth, WJ Timber Treatments will soon be offering both low and high-pressure preservative treatments from this strategic location, further strengthening our service capabilities.

This expansion also brings new career opportunities. We are currently recruiting for the following roles at the site:

- Site Manager (1 position)
- Forklift Drivers (2 positions)

Due to continued expansion, we have moved our DeckWright® production facility in the North to a dedicated site in Hull.

The move allows for double the production capacity with two machines running alongside each other with a larger drying area to keep up with the increased production capacity. The site also benefits from a large yard for storage of treated material and is close to our preservative treatment site for those customers who choose to anti-slip and preservative treat their decking with us.

We've had a busy 2024! Here's a look back at just some of the things we've done throughout the year! A huge thank you to all of our customers, we hope everyone has a great Christmas break. We will see you in 2025.

Instead of 'Secret Santa' in our office this year, our staff have brought in a range of new toys, games, toiletries and clothing for Santa Squad, a fundraising group for Hull's Children, started By Hull's Children.

We will be loading these up and dropping them off tomorrow so they can be organised and gifted to local, underprivileged children on Christmas Day.

Last week we attended the HEY Business Awards at the Doubletree By Hilton in Hull to see our timber chassis for static caravans, lodges and other smaller units as a finalist for their Innovation Award.

The evening had a great mix of businesses present, from local charities & small startups, to large international organisations. Our chassis product was pitted against tough competition from two tech-based innovations and unfortunately had been bested this time.

We're really proud of the recognition the chassis is getting as we start to distribute some of them across the UK to early adopters and sustainably-minded manufacturers.
