For those that don’t understand the convenience of paying by card or contactless…. Every business that accepts card payments would love you to pay cash so they don’t have to pay stupid fees on everything 🤬🫣😢

Why should we pay cash everywhere with banknotes instead of a card ?

- I have a £50 banknote in my pocket. Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it.

The restaurant owner then uses the note to pay for the laundry.

The laundry owner then uses the note to pay the barber.

The barber will then use the note to pay for shopping.

After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a £50 value, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made.

BUT

IF I go to a restaurant and pay digitally via Card,

- the bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around £1.50

( and so will be the fee of £1.50 for each further payment transaction )

-for the owner re laundry or
- payments of the owner of the laundry shop,
- or payments of the barber etc.....

Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial £50 will exist at only £5, and the remaining £45 has become the property of the bank … thanks to all of the digital transactions and fees!

Use it or lose it folks…

Once it’s gone we won’t get it back!

Has anyone else that owns a ford transit custom van had any joy getting the wet timing belt replaced free of charge by Ford as part of the recall due to premature engine failure? They’ll only cover the costs of 73%, so it looks like a claim under the consumer rights act for unsatisfactory goods against the dealership 🙄

Ok, just to clear up once and for all, here are the different ways of receiving your TV programmes :-
1) Freeview - A large collection of free to air channels, most of which nobody wants or needs.
2) freesat - A slightly different large collection of free to air channels, most of which nobody wants or needs.
3) Sky, Virgin, BT Vision - An even larger collection of pointless channels that you pay a subscription for, only to spend most of the time watching the same free channels as everyone else.
4) Analogue - A small collection of 5 channels that has being phased out, forcing everyone to choose one of the other options, so they can spend most of the time watching the same 5 channels that they used to watch on analogue.
