Ten years ago, Top Kat Wellness began with a simple idea: to create the kind of place I would want to visit myself. ❤️
Not somewhere clinical or intimidating, but somewhere people could feel listened to, cared for and genuinely valued.
Over the last decade, that idea has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. So seeing Top Kat featured by SME News and named Best Boutique Wellness & Beauty Salon 2026 – East Yorkshire is a very special moment for us.
One sentence from the feature sums up my philosophy.
“I do not see clients as appointment times. I see them as individuals, each with their own story, needs, and insecurities.”
Although we provide beauty and advanced skin treatments, Top Kat has always been about much more: helping people feel confident, creating a dementia-friendly environment where clients and families feel understood, and offering a place to relax, talk and feel cared for.
It’s also about community. Through our Top Kat Socials, clients who once arrived as strangers now enjoy lunches, theatre trips and nights out together. ❤️
I couldn’t talk about Top Kat without mentioning Wendy, who first came through my door as a beauty student and is now such an important part of what we do. Her kindness, professionalism and genuine care represent everything I want Top Kat to stand for.
And to our lovely clients, some of whom have been with me almost from the beginning: Thank you.🙏🏽
