these are some of the output chips from modern so named "valvestate or valve sound" Marshall rate their amp with this sort of chip in it as 100 watt. The chip maker sugeests using 2 to make a 35 watt amp and say that the chip would burn out if you put 50 watts through it so in summary some of the Marshall 100watt amps do not give out any more than 25 watts and even at that level they will burn out
