🔥 A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ENVIROWARM 🔥

Today pretty much summed up what being a heating engineer is all about.

We started the day with an underfloor heating system that wasn’t working correctly for a customer we’ve looked after for around five years. We found the problem, carried out the repair and got the heating back online. ✅

Next stop was Hornsea, East Yorkshire, servicing a bivalent heating system combining an air source heat pump with a gas boiler for additional support during extreme weather conditions.

From there we attended another air source heat pump where the customer had recently moved into the property and couldn’t get the heating working. We refilled the system, carried out a seasonal recommission and service, checked its operation and showed the new homeowner how to use everything properly.

Heating restored and ready for winter. 👍

Then it was on to Bainton, East Yorkshire, where another ASHP had stopped providing heating. Fortunately this one turned out to be a straightforward repair. We traced the fault to the wireless controller, repaired the problem and got an elderly couple warm again.

Next on the diary was Skirlaugh and something completely different…

A 30-year-old oil boiler that had started leaking oil into the kitchen. 😬

We repaired the oil supply fault and got the boiler safely back up and running.

Finally, we travelled to Goxhill to investigate a faulty ground source heat pump. Testing identified a failed ground-loop circulation pump. A replacement has now been ordered and we’ll be back to get the system running again as soon as possible.

So today involved:

Underfloor heating → ASHP → bivalent heating → ASHP → oil boiler → GSHP.

That’s why we describe ourselves as heating engineers, not simply boiler engineers.

Gas boilers, oil boilers, air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, biomass, underfloor heating and complete heating systems. When something provides heating, there’s a good chance we’ve worked on it.

🔧 Mitsubishi Ecodan call-out – Cottingham, East Yorkshire

We attended an older Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan Zubadan after it failed, leaving an elderly couple without heating.

Initial fault-finding found an issue with the wireless room thermostat/control system, while the heat pump itself is overdue for a thorough service and clean.

This is a 14 kW Mitsubishi Ecodan Zubadan. Rather than immediately condemning an older heat pump, we work through the controls, circulation, system condition and heat pump properly to establish what can be repaired.

Next: repair the wireless control, carry out a full service and clean, then recommission and prove the heating system. 🔧♻️

Heat pump stopped working? It doesn't necessarily mean it needs replacing.

We’re not interested in being the company you use once. ❤️🔥

A new boiler should be the start of a relationship with your heating company, not the end of it.

We want to install it properly, service it, keep it efficient, help when something goes wrong and still be the company you call years down the line.

That’s why our promise is simple:

Expert installation → clear pricing → proper handover → complete aftercare.

If you’re considering a new boiler around Hull & East Yorkshire, talk to the local team that plans to stick around.

🏡 OLD SYSTEM. NEW LEASE OF LIFE. 🔥

We were called to a Grade II listed coach house in Kirkella where the vintage cast-iron radiators on an old one-pipe heating system just weren't warming properly.

Rather than jumping straight to replacement, we got to the root of the problem. 👇

✅ System cleaned using Fernox chemicals
✅ Magnetic filter flushed
✅ Circulation pump stripped & manually cleaned
✅ System thoroughly back-washed
✅ Fresh inhibitor added for ongoing protection

The result? Every radiator is now heating properly and this beautiful old property is ready for winter. 🙌

Got cold spots, slow radiators or rooms that never seem to warm up? Your heating system might need some attention.

📅 CP12 due again already?

For landlords who would rather not spend every year remembering gas-safety dates, chasing access and organising boiler servicing, we’ve built Landlord Care.

Envirowarm Landlord Care is £42/month and includes our Home Heating Care plus an annual CP12 landlord gas safety certificate, CO alarm check, certificate emailed after the visit and an 11-month reminder — subject to the plan terms and acceptance visit.

We can also coordinate the appointment directly with your tenant.

Same boiler. Different installer. 🔧

The box on the wall is only part of what you’re paying for. The survey, correct sizing, system protection, commissioning, controls, registration and the support afterwards matter just as much.

That’s the Envirowarm difference.
