1️⃣ SIA licensing matters. Every door supervisor on your event should hold a valid SIA licence. If they don't, you're the one at risk, not them.

2️⃣ Crowd ratios vary by event type. A seated charity dinner and a standing music event need very different levels of cover. Get the ratio wrong and you're either overspending or under-protected.

3️⃣ Stewarding and guarding are two different roles. Stewards manage flow and give directions. Security guards handle access control and incidents. Mixing them up leads to gaps on the night.

We will be at Fort Paull Battery Heritage Site Site for their two-day event next weekend.

To help make parking flow more easily, can I ask if anyone needs disabled parking? Then, could you please put on your hazard lights to make us aware, and then we can point you in the right direction. See you all there

This event is now just over one week away.

The Fort Paull WWII Weekend returns on the 3rd & 4th May 2026. The historic Napoleonic fort is located nr Hull in East Yorkshire.

The event will have battle skirmishes, firepower diplays, with vintage and military traders selling clothing, accessories plus much more. There will also be talks about local RAF bases across both days.

The period entertainment will be provided by Johnny Victory(Sunday) and Miss Lily Lovejoy (Monday) supported by a DJ across the weekend.

One Punch Ruins Lives….

On Easter Sunday 2012 I was attacked without provocation. One Punch left me fighting for my life. When my head hit the floor it was likened to two snooker balls smashing together! I suffered a traumatic brain injury, faced years of neuro rehab and was told I would never be the same person.

Although one punch had devastating consequences on my life I was lucky to survive. In the last few years, local lads have died from the result of one punch assaults. Absolutely tragic and totally unnecessary!!

Do I want to be responsible for causing brain damage?
