❤️ It’s Work-Life Balance Week! ❤️

This week, we’re celebrating the importance of finding a healthy balance between work and life outside the office!

We know how easy it can be to get caught up in the busyness of work, but it’s so important to make time for yourself and the things you enjoy. Whether it’s going for a walk, reading a book, attending a fitness class or simply taking a proper break, even the smallest things can make a big difference in helping us switch off and recharge. 🧘‍♀️📖

And let’s not forget how important weekends are! Taking time to rest, reset and do what makes you happy is just as important as the work you do during the week.

We were delighted to support SGN as their newest cohort of Scottish apprentices begin an exciting new chapter in their careers.

Our Operations Manager, Jay Forbes, recently delivered Working at Heights training to the new apprentices, helping them develop the essential knowledge and skills they need to work safely as they begin their careers with SGN.

It was fantastic to see such an enthusiastic group starting their apprenticeship journey, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting their development.

A huge thank you to Cara Kavanagh and the SGN team for continuing to work with us. We look forward to supporting the apprentices throughout their training! 👏

When we developed our company values seven years ago, “Community” was at the heart of what we wanted Raeburn Training to support. Our focus on “Collaboration” is also a key part of who we are, so we were thrilled to be shortlisted for recognition of our work with our client Amey, alongside SPS, Breedon, Speedy Hire and Hatton Traffic Management, delivering the Unlocking Future Connections project at the National Highways Awards last week.

We were therefore absolutely delighted when the project was awarded “Project Team of the Year”. It was fantastic to see this innovative, CITB-funded project recognised at a national level for the benefits it delivers and the opportunities it creates for employment.

Although Sarah travelled to London to attend the awards evening, this recognition is for the whole team; including Jen and Derek, who have worked directly with the clients; the instructors who have delivered the initiative; and our office team, who coordinate the delivery and certification.

UK Construction Week takes place from 29 September to 1 October, bringing together the construction industry to look at the challenges, opportunities and changes shaping the sector.

This year’s event focuses on areas including skills, productivity, sustainability, technology and the future of construction, with the HSE also attending and contributing to the programme.

For us, it’s a good reminder of just how important training and skills development are in supporting a safer, stronger and more future-ready construction workforce.
