Here is the long-awaited book on Alice 'Lavender' Lee. A culmination of several years of research, two papers and a news article by 'Orkney News has finally come to fruition in this biography.

The biography is not a conventional Biography but one in which her life is woven into the film structure of the early twentieth century. It was a time when the film industry was just beginning to make traction in the UK, and looking for the 'English Mary Pickford'.

We are excited to share the launch of a project that has been quietly developing behind the scenes — one that brings together cultural history, early film heritage, and the reclamation of a woman whose influence has been overlooked for far too long.
