So Open Reach … came to fit a telephone…
So Open Reach … came to fit a telephone line in the adjoining shop but couldn’t do it because there is no asbestos certificate…. To drill a 4mm hole through a solid brick wall.

They wouldn’t even run the cable from the pole to the building to save another trip with the crane lift.

Apparently this new rule came in 3 months ago so thanks for letting the customer know prior to booking so an inspection could have been arranged.

Talk about jobs worth …. 0/10 for effort.
Oh if it’s a 200 year old residential property … no asbestos licence required.

So a dongle it is from a non open reach supplier … that’s £1200 a year you’ve just lost BT

The asbestos survey is £330 by the way … when the initial building survey was done NO ASBESTOS FOUND so it’s a total con, the world has gone mad.

Tumbler media, also great to use as sand blasting media for gentler cleaning.
