Ley Rubber is a family run business, established in 1956 and based in the North West of England. We have grown from a moulding press shop into a market leading manufacturer of rubber extrusions and mouldings. For more than 60 years, Ley Rubber has been providing solutions to a broad spectrum of Industries in a variety of elastomeric and thermoplastic materials. As a British manufacturer, we offer short lead times to anywhere in the United Kingdom and regularly support customer expedite requests for more urgent requirements. We pride ourselves on our service levels and, the integrity of our products; this is demonstrated by having ISO9001 certification for over 25 years. Our service does not end when your order is dispatched, we provide excellent after sales support that is class leading. With a culture of continuous improvement embedded in our organisation, year on year, we invest in our people and our plant. Our extensive Manufacturing and Engineering resources enable us to design production tools employing the latest CAD software. We can produce the tooling and compound the raw material in-house under strict process controls, extrude or mould the component to your order requirements, cut, punch, shape or join where necessary and pack and label to your specification. Our scope of supply includes components manufactured in materials ranging from standard EPDM’s, Neoprene’s® and NBR’s to Silicone, PVC and Viton’s® that meet international standards.

💪 Tough Mudder 15K completed! 🏅

A huge well done to our team who took on the Tough Mudder 15K Challenge on Saturday, all while raising money for Willowbrook Hospice. 💛

From mud and water to some seriously tough obstacles, the team worked together, pushed through and made it across the finish line. 👏

We’re really proud of everyone who took part and gave up their Saturday to support such a worthwhile local charity.

A massive thank you as well to everyone who has donated and supported the team along the way. Every donation helps Willowbrook Hospice continue the amazing work they do for patients and families in our local community.

Over 30 years working on the same mill 👏

Peter has been with Ley Rubber for more than 30 years and knows this machine inside out.

Here he is recycling suitable rubber material back through the mill so it can be reused in production rather than going to waste. ♻️

It’s a great example of how experience and good manufacturing practices can help us make better use of our materials while continuing to maintain the standards our customers expect.

"Easily the team spirit. We work in a fast-paced environment where every day is different, but everyone pulls together to get the job done. I also enjoy seeing the scale of what we produce and ship. Working in the warehouse gives me a front-row seat to the huge variety of rubber products we manufacture, and it's rewarding knowing they're dispatched to vital industries across the UK and beyond."

"Working in logistics keeps me on my feet, so my favourite way to unwind is spending quality time with my family. It's the perfect way to recharge for the next day."

📏 25 metres of rubber profile... all coiled by hand. 💪

Not every rubber extrusion is straightforward to handle.

This 25-metre profile required careful handling and teamwork to coil correctly. To support the profile throughout the process, a stack of pallets was used to help maintain the shape of the coil and protect the material from damage.

It's another example of the skill, experience and practical problem-solving that goes into manufacturing larger rubber extrusions.
