Cheshire Women in Business

Cheshire Women in Business Cheshire Women in Business, formerly KTS WiB, is a collaborative event hosted by Kirsty James and Tricia Peters.

They host 2 events a year – Cheshire International Women’s Day (a full-day multi-speaker networking conference) and a summer networking lunch. Cheshire Women in Business is a collaborative event hosted by Kirsty James and Tricia Peters. Between them, they have helped hundreds of people to connect and grow their businesses and they are responsible for thousands of pounds worth of business in the re

gion, as well as significant fundraising for many charities, both regional and national. They host two joint events a year – Cheshire International Women’s Day (a full day multi-speaker networking conference) and a summer networking lunch. The Cheshire IWD event was originally set up by Kirsty, Tricia and Sue, aka KTS Women in Business and three of the most renowned networking event organisers in the North West, who have been referred to in the regional press and by attendees as the ‘Queens of Networking’ and the ‘Backbone of Networking’ in Cheshire and Manchester. When Sue France retired late 2024, Kirsty and Tricia agreed to continue hosting the IWD event. Although each of the ladies has their own business and their individual style of bringing people together, their core message is the same. They know that, although social media is a fantastic tool for business development, nothing beats direct communication via events to build up business relationships.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our summer event.

What a room full of positive energy and inspiration and colour and mutual support and healthy food and friendly conversation.

We heard from Dr. Jill McGarry about the sleep cycle and the impact of light, heat, routine and nutrition on sleep hygiene.

Jazz McPhail covered gut nutrition touching on rest, stress, eating slowly, chewing (‘stomachs don’t have teeth”); eating to 80% full, gut bacteria and making friends with your poo 💩

And then, after a healthy veg-based lunch, our keynote Saskia Lightburn-Ritchie shared unbelievable personal stories and scary statistics (UK). You could hear a pin drop!

We are so delighted with the feedback we've had regarding our event.

Thank you to our 3 wonderful speakers, our sponsors Bennett Brooks, FW Capital and McAlister Family Law, our stunning venue Groobarbs Field Kitchen, and everyone who attended. Official photos from Andrew Collier will follow on our pages and via Cheshire Life Magazine soon.

Offer announcement!

Many will know Cheshire’s International Women’s Day event will run at Statham Lodge Hotel in on Wed 5 March.

It’s a full day networking multi-speaker conference with lunch, 4 speakers, an interview, book signings and much more to mark this year's global theme

We have an offer.
And my offer comes in 2 parts.

1️⃣ Best value
Ticket prices for IWD have now increased on Eventbrite. However, you can still get the benefit of the lower advance price from Kirsty's website as her direct price to contacts will always be lower.

2️⃣ Charity offer
For the first 3 people who buy a ticket this week and request this offer, we will offer you a 2nd ticket free for you to gift to a worthy cause or charity.

We always offer discounted tickets to charities whose marketing budgets are often tighter. This offer goes 1 step further by gifting a fully paid ticket for your chosen charity. Buy your ticket from Kirsty's website and add the request for a charity ticket and their name in seating notes. She'll confirm back to you whether you were in the first 3 to reply.

The event flyer below tells you everything else you may need to know.

It's set to be a great day with 4 remarkable speakers - Clare Hayward, Dr. Sally Penni MBE, Nicola Wood and an interview with Esther G**y by a BBC journalist to be named.

We’re also supporting 3 great causes directly – Prevent Breast Cancer, Peace & Mind UK and Creating Adventures.

Thanks must go to our confirmed event sponsors too, who allow us to keep our ticket prices achievable for every size of businesses. Thank you to Heather Hiley Financial Planning, Sinclair Law, Leavitt Walmsley Associates Ltd (LWA), and Andrew Collier Photography,

KTS charitable fundraising success

In the Cheshire Life photo on the left, you see women in business, dressed in their finest, posing happily for pictures after an inspiring event. They show happiness and achievement but don't always reveal the full story of things we heard that day.

On the right, you see some of the end results - a cheque presentation to Halton Haven Hospice (Emma Guy), 1 of the 3 charities that benefited from the event - the other two being Muscular Dystrophy UK (linked to a larger fundraising campaign) and the Teenage Cancer Trust (yet to feature as the project continues).

We all see plenty of posts about events, official ceremonies, awards and fundraising tributes. But each and every one involves stories of real lives and real value that we don't always see.

Over £1000 was raised at IWD 2024. Not huge, but not insignificant for those who continually seeking funds to support others.

And all because 150 women were out networking, doing business, having lunch, listening to speakers ... and being snapped in pictures.

Over the course of several years, KTS has raised plenty more for other charities.

July's final event as KTS Women in Business will be in support of Prevent Breast Cancer.

Reflecting on International Women’s Day where so many people left fabulous comments about the event hosted by (Kirsty, Tricia and Sue).

Key words – Inspirational, Incredible, Powerful

A heartfelt thanks to:
* our speakers Naomi Timperley, Polly Cauldwell, Una Kelly and Kate Jenkinson;
* our sponsors Quilter Cheviot, Aqueous Digital, and Aaron & Partners LLP;
* our table hosts, stall holders and raffle prize donors; and
* our IWD venue, Statham Lodge Hotel

The bits that make our hearts sing are:

* The private messages saying how much an event or a specific talk impacts lives and business opportunities;
* The £1200 raised for charity and donating cancelled places to local charities; and
* The education and personal development content gleaned from our speakers.

To facilitate that level of connection, sharing of information and collaborative spirit is a privilege when hosting events.
