Just over a month ago, our concrete production team took on a unique project for Forth Marine Hatchery, manufacturing bespoke oyster tanks using our versatile Lev-Co Blocks system.

It’s great to now see the project fully operational. This build was a fantastic example of how adaptable Lev-Co Blocks can be, showcasing their use beyond traditional storage bay applications.

A brilliant effort from everyone involved, here are a few photos of the completed installation.

The Levenseat Trust is delighted to announce the return of the Acorn Award initiative for another year!

Invitations have now been sent to participating local schools, with project work set to begin once the summer holidays finish. This year’s focus is on “Recycling - encouraging young people to be responsible citizens”, giving pupils the chance to explore sustainability in practical, creative ways.

Looking back, last year’s Acorn Award initiative saw fantastic ideas come through under the theme “Outdoor Learning Development at Your School”, with huge congratulations once again to Braehead Primary, our 2025 winners.

Judging visits will take place in October, before we come together for the awards ceremony in November 2026.

A big thank you goes to Tormywheel Windfarm for their continued support of the Levenseat Trust’s Acorn Award initiative, helping us inspire and empower the next generation of environmental thinkers.

Waste is only waste if nothing more can be done with it.

Proud of the role we play in recovering, processing and moving commodities back into the supply chain - Keeping materials in circulation and giving resources a second life.

In case you missed it, this is what 44 bags of roadside litter actually tell us…

26/03/2026

The results are in.

At the end of 2025, West Lothian Cleaner Communities, Keep Scotland Beautiful and West Lothian Litter Pickers (Act Local, Think Global🌎), carried out a roadside litter pick along a stretch of the A801, covering both West Lothian Council and Falkirk Council areas.

Together, they collected an incredible 44 bags of litter from our roadsides.

At Levenseat, we were proud to support this by taking it a step further.

Every bag was sorted, weighed, and analysed by our team. Each item was carefully categorised and recorded, turning litter into data and helping us better understand the scale, sources, and impact of waste in our communities.

Because litter isn’t just an eyesore.
It affects our environment, wildlife, and local communities, and much of it is entirely preventable.

A great example of partnership working in action:
Community groups taking action
National organisations raising awareness
Industry providing insight and solutions

Together, we can move from clean-up to prevention.

Watch our latest video to see what was recovered, how it was broken down, and what it reveals about littering across our communities.
