When you come back from a break are you raring to go with lots of good intentions or miserable that your holiday is over? With me I think it is a mixture of the two.

After a mini break visiting one of my favourite places, seeing family and taking a break from technology (I didn’t get my laptop out of its bag) I have come back feeling very refreshed, wishing I was still by the sea and with a piano – but that’s a story for another day!

Today marks St David’s Day, the patron saint of Wales. His last words to his followers are thought to have been: “Be joyful, keep the faith and do the little things that you have heard and seen me do.” The phrase - gwenach y pethau bychain mewn bywyd – ‘Do the little things in life’ – is still a well-known phrase in Wales.

I love the phrase ‘Do the Little Things’. For me when I am pondering all the things I have to do and wondering where to start, I start with something small, I start with the little things, work my way down my to-do list and often find the big things have taken care of themselves.
