We still have plenty of glassware, light bulbs and other items for you to take and all we ask for is a donation to our appeal. Dear Valued Customer,

As our customer, we automatically capture 10% of the CO2 you produce from the diesel and petrol
purchased via our fuel cards at no cost to you. You may wish to use this information to provide to your
customers informing them on how you are reducing your own carbon footprint.

What are we doing?
As a major fuel supplier we are aware of the impact CO2 has on our communities and the
environment therefore as a business we have agreed that we need to work towards change.

For over a year we have embraced this change and in line with our carbon reduction partners BWOC
compiled a full CO2 reduction report & embarked upon a number of carbon capturing projects.

Why are we doing this?
We wanted to go a step further than buying offsets and positively compensate the environment for
some of the unavoidable CO2 generated by BWOC and our customers.

How do we positively compensate?
After much research we opted for woodland carbon capture – at home in the UK where the schemes
would be sustainable and monitored, and the benefits reaped locally.
Our woodland creation partners are Forest Carbon Ltd, responsible for the planting of 2 million trees
in the past 4 years for many high profile clients.

Whilst working alongside Defra, the Forestry Commission and other experts Forest Carbon have
participated in the design and testing of the UK’s first ‘best practice’ for carbon woodland schemes,
the ‘Woodland Carbon Code’, which came into effect April 2012 and is the first Government
recognised British carbon capturing reforestation programme.

You are invited to attend our open day at HCS and we are certain you will find some great unique products from our invited suppliers. Bay radio will be live here 10am to 2pm with Cookie and there will be plenty to see with demonstrations of equipment and products.
