We hope everyone enjoyed the seasonal holidays and have come back into 2025 feeling refreshed !

We started the year with a trip just up the road to the lovely Cumbrian fells where we are currently providing technical support to a Rural Energy Resilience project, helping provide backup power to rural communities utilising innovative Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G/V2X) technologies supported by Innovate UK.

With the recent snowfall in Cumbria we thought it would be an excellent time to support some in-field checks so it's ready for imminent use.

We were also able to take advantage of the conditions and have a quick scoot around on our skis on the way home at Yad Moss!

Season's Greetings to Milliamp friends and customers past or present ! ☃️☃️☃️

It's been a busy year for Milliamp, with a number of regular subcontract tech development projects and a lot of more complex "special projects" that Milliamp has had the pleasure of helping co-develop or support both locally and in other places. We look forward to more exciting and innovative developments in 2025 - from cyber-physical systems to heavy industry tech and new designs to help get vehicle-to-grid (V2X) moving for electric cars!

Here's sunset across Lancaster, Morecambe Bay and the Lake District yesterday when we attended the Lancashire Tech Summit at Highest Point in the lovely Victorian era Williamson Park.

Lancaster is undoubtedly a great location to work, live and relax and Milliamp Technologies Ltd feels privileged to call this place home. We are always keen to show new and existing customers and colleagues around our lovely corner of England 🙃 !

We had a great time yesterday attending the first Lancashire Tech Summit at Highest Point in Lancaster's Williamson Park - built in the 1870s by Lancaster's Victorian tech industrialists! After the Tech Summit we grabbed a beer and relaxed to the sounds of Madchester anthems from Hacienda Classical 🎶🎶🎶 which included Bez and and Peter "Hooky" Hook!

During the Tech Summit we heard excellent talks from companies across Lancashire and met up with some of our electech colleagues including IoT Horizon Ltd, Forsberg, Northern Hi-Tec, Lancaster University, Electech Innovation Cluster and Tech Lancaster.

We also had a great opportunity to meet some innovative companies across Lancashire who are helping make Lancashire the go-to place for tech development including cyber, cloud, IoT and energy - all of which Milliamp is able to help with! Lancashire really is a one-stop-shop for software, hardware and electech manufacturing.

Hello there ! We've been very quiet over the past few months as we've been so busy with customer projects ! However we will be having a bit of downtime tomorrow and from 1pm onwards will be attending the Lancashire Tech Summit at the Highest Point music festival in Lancaster ! Let us know if you are going !

As well as a few folk from Milliamp there will also be a number of our friends and colleagues from the regional electech sector present too, including Tech Lancaster and Electech Innovation Cluster - and later on we plan to stay for an evening of entertainment including Haçienda Classiçal ! 🎵🙂🎵🙂🎵🙂

Happy Lancashire Day (well nearlly) !!!

Milliamp today celebrated Lancashire Day and was privileged to be invited to Lancashire 2050 - an event in Parliament celebrating the best of Lancashire and a tradition that dates back to the 12th century - as well hearing about Lancashire's ambitions over the next 25 years.

As a Lancaster based company we are proud to play an active role promoting the vibrant hardware and embedded tech industry in Lancashire and hope the future is bright for our county.

Nexperia has revealed their new wafer-level 12 & 30V MOSFETs, which minimise device energy loss and increase efficiency in load switching and battery management. They also produce less heat than other similar products, making them perfect for wearable devices. Due to their very small size, they are perfect for small devices such as smartphones, hearing aids and watches.

Yesterday, some of the team at Milliamp popped down to the nearby Lancaster University Engineering department to see the Lancaster E-Racing put the final touches on their car and a great sponsor's event - which, of course, includes Milliamp ! And a great job with the pie buffet from Countrystyle Meats Farmshop !

Since 2016, we have been helping the team where we can transition from internal combustion engine (ICE) to electric for their
IMechE Formula Student entry, as well as introducing them to some of our friends such as Eurocircuits, Get Your Mobi and others!

Year on year the team are building on previous successes and we wish them luck in the competition which starts at Silverstone tomorrow, where they compete with over 100 other teams whilst the world's motorsport and F1 companies look on !
