Hi everyone,

We have partnered up with LUMS Careers, Lancaster University Consulting Society, McCormick Law & Consulting and LUIFS - Lancaster University Investment and Finance Society for the inaugural LUMS Case Competition!

What is it about ?

The Competition aims to encourage students to engage in enquiry and apply their theoretical knowledge to provide a solution to a real-life "problem," and to connect their academic learning with skills for the workplace.

The Case Competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.

How does the competition work?

- Participants will be put in teams where they will be given a case to, review and prepare a presentation to present a solution to a panel of judges.

- The shortlisted teams will be invited to the Plenary & Networking session where the teams will present a summary of their presentation and will receive a prize!

New consulting project! Applications open until the 21st of November!

Sun Pizza - has an exciting project waiting for you! This is your chance to challenge yourself and make a real impact on their business!

What is the project about?
The project consists of conducting extensive market research of students to understand, how to increase walk-in customers. Recommendations will be based on the research done.

Project start: November 29th 2021
Project end: February 20th 2022
Application deadline: 21st November 2021

Who are we looking for?
The project is to be completed by a multi-disciplinary team from all study backgrounds who come together to share their knowledge and achieve an outcome greater than the sum of their parts. We are looking for 4 talented consultants and a brilliant team leader regardless of their degree!

Hi everyone, we are pleased to announce our new partnership with Lancaster University Consulting Society and AmplifyME.

Who is AmplifyME?
AmplifyMe is a new platform that ensures students get hired based on their skills regardless of their background in the field of finance.

What is the event about?
The event will be fully online consisting of an introductory talk of what the platform can offer you in the first part. The second part will consist of running through the flagship Finance Accelerator simulation that will rotate you through roles in Sales & Trading and Asset Management.

What will you gain?
The top performers in each role will have the opportunity to be fast-tracked to internships and graduate opportunities with Amplify's partners (Morgan Stanley, Citibank, Credit Suisse)

The event will take place on the 15th of November from 4 to 6pm as an online event.
