A reminder to all members to log in to our online AGM this evening (3rd September) at 7pm. It will only be about 30 minutes long but we do need a certain number of people to make the election of board members legal. Still time to put yourself forward as a board member - there is plenty of space for more. Details of the zoom meeting were in an email but if you have lost it, please DM for a reminder. Hope to see lots of you there.

Shared owners might only have 25% of the equity of the property but they pay 75% of the rent and 100% of the service charge which can be subject to massive hikes as this article illustrates. Shared Ownership means paying to maintain the Housing Associations equity. The only guaranteed way to ensure there is really authentic affordable housing is by Community Land Trusts and councils providing it. We need to prioritise people.

Service charges for shared-ownership houses have rocketed, leaving many unable to pay. We hear their stories

There is always plenty to see and buy at this market, sometimes in excess of 50 different traders, it's a wonderful place for a browse on a Saturday morning.
