So great to have Scotty from Techosaurus in the office yesterday. We discussed all things AI and how we can best use Copilot to support our working days - from prompts to processes and support within the Microsoft apps 🦕

There's big discussions happening around AI, creativity and its use in business - & there will be even more on that at next week's Digital Somerset event - and part of this is around setting our own guidelines on how we use AI. More to come on this...

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ A huge congratulations to our Joint Managing Directors, Kate O'Sullivan and Jenny Walford, who took part in the Quantock Half Marathon by Prosper Events this Sunday!

Kate and Jenny are no strangers to running, but this was their first trail event and, true to form, they didn’t ease themselves in! The beautiful Quantock Hills served up plenty of tough climbs, with the sunshine and views providing a welcome excuse to catch their breath. Stairs may be a little less welcome this week, but the smiles say it all. Naturally, they’re already talking about the next one!

We understand the weather was lovely, which perfectly complimented their joint drive to overcome the challenge. ☀️

Congratulations to you both from everyone at ADPR HQ. We ALL think you’ve earned a very well-deserved rest… and maybe an easy ramble with the pooches to aid the muscle recovery! 😉🐶

Last week, Kate and Beki attended the Somerset Chamber of Commerce x Passion for Somerset Community Interest Company Unlocking Somerset Talent conference, at the stunning Waterside Country Barn.

What a day! Full of connections, opening conversations and thoughtful discussions.

The introductions from Nigel Muers-Raby, David Crew and Mr Mohammed Saddiq, His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, started the day with promise and passion, and we finished the day with a pledge to creating connections and opportunities, led by Shelly Mullen, from Somerset Chamber of Commerce and Somerset Council.

In amongst all of this, was inspirational talks and panels from some of the next generation who are just starting out in their careers, some of the leaders who are supporting the next generation and those who are making changes to enable new opportunities.

For ADPR, with a new apprentice on the horizon, we're all excited for the future!!

Tell me it's Southampton Boat Show without telling me...

It's been a busy week, and it's only Wednesday! Our FANTASTIC team are smashing it and out in force supporting the wonderful British Marine and TEMBO Ltd teams, as well as lots of media and brands at the show!

From hosting ITV for interviews with Earle Stanner, CEO of British Marine, Peter Hamlyn for Fairline Yachts and Bob Stockley, Managing Director of Icom UK Ltd, as well as running the press office, supporting the Wooden Boat Stage and hosting another iconic boat opening with Sunseeker and Rockley Watersports.

We’re always inspired by hearing Professor John Amaechi OBE speak, and his recent conversation on bias and allyship really stayed with us.

John has a way of challenging familiar workplace language and making you stop and think about what sits behind it - from questioning the idea of “unconscious bias” to what allyship actually looks like when it requires action, not just agreement.

Anyone who follows ADPR on social media will know that our dogs are very much at the heart of our culture. So, naturally, we couldn’t let International Dog Day pass without celebrating them! 🐾

Our dogs aren’t just honorary members of the ADPR team - they help to keep our spirits high and often provide a welcome distraction by making sure we all step away from our screens for the occasional walk (whether we need it or not!). 🦮🚶

It's proven that dogs have a positive impact in the workplace, from boosting morale and connection to helping you find a better balance between work and wellbeing. They are all round good beings to be around!
