Meet the Tenant: Moon & Dusk 🌙✨
I'm so proud to introduce you to Keeley Bolton, the incredibly talented silversmith behind Moon & Dusk and the lovely lady behind room 7💍

Keeley hasn't been with us long, but honestly, she has already been such a credit to The Suite. She has the loveliest energy, always smiling, always friendly, and always the first to help someone out. And I have to mention the yummy biscuits she leaves in the kitchen for everyone 🍪 (we've all noticed, Keeley, and we love you for it!)

Her work is just as beautiful as she is. Every piece is handcrafted in sterling silver, designed and made right here in her Larbert studio. Her collections are inspired by the moon, the stars and life's meaningful moments, made to be worn and loved every single day 🌟

And I'm a little bit proud to say I own the very first piece Keeley ever made at The Suite… my citrine ring 💛 It's so special to me that it deserves its own post, so watch this space.

Keeley also offers permanent welded jewellery appointments ✨ and takes on a small number of bespoke commissions each month, so if you've got a special moment to celebrate or an idea you'd love to bring to life, she's your girl.

There is room for all of us. 💛
I'll never stop believing it, and it's a big part of why The Suite exists.

But room for all of us was never the same as room for anyone. And the longer I do this, the clearer I am on what The Suite is really about. The right people.

I will patiently wait on the women who'd rather build a table than fight for a seat. 🤍
Because that's who thrives here. The ones who show up, cheer each other on, share the load and genuinely want to be part of something bigger than themselves.

And I've learned to trust my gut on this one. I won't fill a beautiful space with the wrong energy just to fill it. The ones who don't actually want community. The ones who quietly think they're more important than the women beside them.

That chips away at the very thing we've built, and I care too much about it to let that happen.
So I'll wait. However long it takes. Because The Suite, and every single woman already inside it, deserves to be surrounded by the right people. 💛

How you got into your business isn't always your why 💭
Your how is the story of the start. Your why is the reason you keep showing up, every single day.
Here's mine.

The Suite didn't begin because I fancied running a business centre. It began after one of the hardest years of my working life. I loved my old studio but after 10 years things changed, I was made to feel intimidated, small and unsafe in a space that was meant to be mine.

I walked away from that year knowing exactly what I never wanted another woman to feel.
So I built the opposite 🏡✨

A safe space. Somewhere women can grow, be seen and feel completely at home in their business. That's my why, and it's in every room at Carrongrange House.

The corporate world says I'm naive but I run The Suite from the heart and I won't change.

I was speaking to someone last week and they said, "I wish i had came across you earlier" 🥹

For years they have rented a room in a corporate business centre. Last year their rent went up by over 200% (i have never increased mine). They have been waiting months for some electrical work to be done and are still waiting. They had to hand over three months' rent as a deposit just to get the keys, their service charge keeps climbing, and when they finally leave there's a £500 fee so they room can be ready for handover... 😱
They just accepted that this is what renting a business space looks like.

And honestly? That broke my heart a little 💔

Because a similar space here in our manor house is less than half the price. And that's before you count the extra support and community that comes with it 💕

Last week we held our annual content day, and it was honestly SO much fun 📸✨ Laughter, ideas flowing, women cheering each other on. Community, connection, collaboration. That's what this place is all about 🙌

When I opened The Suite, I made a promise. This place isn't here to make money. It's here to help women build their businesses.

Your service charge is worked out on your own space and your own usage. Nothing extra for my time. No nasty surprises.

And there's no deposit. Not three months, not one. I trust people to do the right thing, and I'm a big believer in karma ✨

I choose to believe the best in the women who walk through these doors. That they'll love this gorgeous old house as much as I do, and that given the right space, amazing things will grow 🌱
So call me naive. And if anything ever happens that makes me change my ways, I promise I'll share it with you all 🤞

Having this chat and getting the most amazing messages from my new tenants last week, I know exactly why I do this, and the right tribe are with me 💕

Can I tell you what usually happens around now? 🍂

The nights draw in. The diary goes a little quiet. You promise yourself you'll get organised for Christmas "next week"... and then suddenly it's December, the enquiries are all last minute, and you're wondering where on earth the year went.

I've been there. Most of us have.
That's exactly why the October ACE Sprint exists 💛

August got us seen. September kept us from going quiet. And October? October is about finishing the year strong.

Home this morning, bags still half unpacked, heart completely full 🧳💛

I flew out to Egypt to see my beautiful daughter Morgan. She's out there working for TUI as a childcare supervisor, and honestly, watching her in her element, so confident, so happy, so completely herself… I had to have a wee moment. Proud doesn't even begin to cover it 🥹

And I didn't go alone. My mum and sister came too. Three generations of us, all together, somewhere in the sun. I don't think I realised how much I needed that until I was there.

If you know me, you know I'm not great at switching off. My brain is always ten steps ahead, thinking about the next thing, the next idea, the next message. So I set myself one wee intention for this trip: slow down. Actually rest. Be present with the people I love.

We laughed until our bellies hurt 😂 We ate the most gorgeous food. We floated about in our swim up without a care in the world 🌴 I even read not one but THREE books, which anyone who knows me will tell you is practically a miracle 📚 And if you've ever been to the Sensatori Coral Sea, you'll know all about Fizz Hour 🥂 Hands down my favourite hour of the day. Maybe a wee bit too much fizz was had… but that's what holidays are for, isn't it? 😉

Life moves so fast. Business moves fast. And it's so easy to keep saying "next time" to the people who matter most. This week reminded me that you really can't pour from an empty cup. Rest isn't the reward for all the hard work. It's what makes the work possible 💫 And time with my family? That's the stuff I'll hold onto forever. I'm so, so grateful.

Of course, I couldn't have switched off at all without my people back home. A huge thank you to Colin for holding the fort 💕 and to my amazing, suite girls for looking after The Suite so beautifully while I was away. You girls are the best, and I hope you know how much I appreciate you 🙏

Now… who's putting the kettle on? ☕💛

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop.

This past week I've been in Egypt visiting my daughter, and I set myself one intention: slow down. Actually rest. Be present.

And do you know what I learned? Slowing down is a skill. One I'm still practising 😅 Even when you tell people you're switching off, the messages still find their way through... 😱 But every time I chose the sunrise over the screen, I remembered why it matters.

Because you cannot pour from an empty cup. Rest isn't the reward for the work, it's what makes the work possible.

So here's your reminder, from me to you: it's ok to pause. It's ok to log off. It's ok to just be. 🌅

The to do list will still be there tomorrow. This sunrise won't.
