**Why do bathroom prices vary so much? 🤔**
We get asked this a lot. One company quotes a “fully fitted” bathroom at a low headline price, and another quotes a lot more. Usually the difference comes down to what’s on your walls and what’s behind them.
**The plastic wall panel bathroom**
Many low-cost bathrooms use printed PVC wall panels instead of tiles, often with a plastic strip ceiling and a basic shower enclosure. Panels are quick to fit, and they’re often fitted straight over the old tiles, even when those tiles are loose or mouldy underneath. That’s a big part of why the price is lower.
The trade-off is that plastic panels can scratch and dent easily, and they can fade or dull with strong cleaning products. You also get a printed, repeating pattern with visible joins and trims.
**That’s why we don’t supply or install plastic wet wall panels. Ever.**

Every bathroom we install is stripped right back to the bare room and built again from scratch. Old tiles, old fittings and any hidden problems all come out, so your new bathroom starts on solid, clean, properly prepared walls and floors.
From there, we design the room around you, with real porcelain and feature mural tiles laid by hand, recessed niches, hidden cisterns, LED mirrors and designer brassware. It takes more skill, more time and better materials. You get a bathroom with real depth and character, built to last for years.
