🌿 Another couple of Stunning Transformations by Beggs Landscapes! 🌿

First we carried out a full stoning job, creating a clean, low-maintenance finish with a beautiful cherry tree taking centre stage 🌸🌳 a real feature that when in full bloom will lift the whole garden.

We also transformed an unused area into a bespoke raised sleeper bed, turning wasted space into a practical and eye-catching feature ready for planting 🌿

It’s amazing what the right design and attention to detail can do ✅

🌲 The Wollemi Pine – Larne’s Living Fossil 🌲

Sometimes landscaping isn’t just about cutting grass or hedges… sometimes it’s about fighting for history.

This is a Wollemi Pine one of the rarest trees on Earth.

Discovered in 1994 in a remote canyon in Australia, fewer than 100 mature trees were known to exist in the wild. It’s often called a “dinosaur tree” because it dates back over 90 million years growing when dinosaurs walked the planet.

Somehow… one found its way to Larne.

When I came across it, it was struggling. Browning branches. Signs of stress. A rare living fossil fighting to survive in the Northern Irish climate.

Most people would see “just a tree.”

But I saw something that survived mass extinctions… Now in need of a bit of help situated in Larne.

So I tried to save it.

Careful assessment. Pruning only what was necessary. Soil checks. Drainage. Protection. Doing everything possible to give it the best chance.

Because that’s what we do at Beggs Landscapes! We don’t just maintain gardens.

Not every job is routine.
Not every tree is ordinary.

And sometimes, you find yourself standing in front of a prehistoric survivor, hoping you can be part of its next chapter.
