We recently carried out a small scale woodland project clearing over forty diseased ash trees within a woodland conservation area inturn allowing the remaining semi mature trees to flourish. Because we had to retain the oaks, hornbeams and understory not only because of planning constraints but also maintaining the natural aesthetics of the woodland for the customer we carried out the work with low impact techniques using smaller machinery. All the stumps were ground out, log and chip stayed on site ready to be used in the next phase of works... Replanting will take place in late autumn along with the construction of the treehouse, zipline and drainage works.
