💚 Getting ready to welcome some new faces to Team SHS!

The new kit bags have arrived, thanks to Worksite Workwear and are ready for our new starters joining us next week. 👷🚦

Every new operative joining Smarter Highway Solutions brings their own qualifications, experience, knowledge and drive — and we’re looking forward to seeing what each of them brings to an already fantastic team.

For us, growing the business isn’t simply about increasing numbers. It’s about bringing the right people together — people who take pride in what they do, support those around them and want to be part of something long term.

We’re proud of the team we’ve built and really pleased to be adding even more experience to it.

Now all that’s left is to hand over the kit bags and get them settled in! 💚

💚 Every successful business needs someone turning ideas into reality.

As Co-Director of Smarter Highway Solutions, Rachel has helped shape the business from the ground up.

When SHS was founded in 2021, Rachel set out to build more than just an office—she helped build the systems, processes and foundations that have supported the company's growth.

From creating the office systems that keep SHS running efficiently to supporting the team and helping drive the business forward, Rachel has played a part in every stage of the journey.

Rachel has also gained traffic management qualifications and, when the business has needed it, hasn't hesitated to put on the PPE and head out on site to support the team.

Traffic management may be a traditionally male-dominated industry, but Rachel believes success comes from teamwork, commitment and leading by example.

From one vehicle to a dedicated depot, a modern fleet and an incredible team, she's incredibly proud of how far SHS has come—and even more excited for what's still to come.

📢 Traffic Management Expectations vs Reality

Expectation:
“Quick little job today… we’ll be home by lunch.”

Reality:
🚧 One extra lane closure…
📞 Three phone calls…
🚦 A set of temporary lights with a mind of their own…
☕ Cold coffee…
🌧️ And somehow you’re still smiling!

If you work in traffic management… you know! 😂
