Imagine filling a tanker with diesel and then throwing half of it away because it's easier than filtering it.

Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

Used for testing, flushing, commissioning, or short-term operation.

Then drained and disposed of.

Not because it can't be used.

Not because it has reached the end of its life.

But because nobody questions the process.

In an age where every organisation claims to be serious about sustainability, this is one of industry's most overlooked forms of waste.

If oil can be restored to a cleaner and drier condition than when it arrived from the supplier, why are we treating it as a disposable product?

The cheapest oil is the oil you don't have to buy.

The greenest oil is the oil you don't have to replace.

Maybe it's time industry stopped talking about sustainability and started eliminating waste where it actually exists.
