THIS IS THE QUESTION I GET ASKED THE MOST ???
โIโm really interested in doing The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan.... BUT itโs far too EXPENSIVE??!! ๐ฉโ
So let me paint a little picture for you... ๐๐ป
Imagine Iโm on another well-know slimming plan ๐~ and I only pay ยฃ5.95 a week, right...?
So I start with the group. I pay my ยฃ5.95 at the meeting and get weighed, I sit and have a chat to find out how people have done well or not so well that week. The meeting finishes.
On my way home from the first meeting, I take a trip to the supermarket to buy my healthy food for the week ~ preparation is key as I really don't want to cheat! So, I put just the absolute basics in my trolley, no added extras or special buys, just the essentials (even though we never do that!):
A loaf of wholemeal bread ๐
Chicken breast fillets ๐
Lettuce ๐ฅฌ
Cucumber ๐ฅ
Onions ๐ฐ
Peppers
Tomatoes ๐
Roasted veg ๐
Mushrooms ๐
Jacket potatoes ๐ฅ
Low fat cheese ๐ง
Beans ๐ซ
Low fat butter ๐ง
12 eggs ๐ฅ
8 low fat yoghurts for snacks
2 fruit ๐

Wholemeal pasta ๐
Skimmed milk๐ฅ

Using the food on this list, I aim to have egg on toast every day for breakfast with milk and sweetener in my coffee.
For lunch, Iโll have jacket potato with beans and a little cheese for perhaps 4 days; a pasta salad on 2 days and then who knows what Iโll have for the 7th day ~ I'll probably just get a meal deal when Iโm out somewhere (thatโs an additional ยฃ3.40 on top of the above shop).
For a snack everyday, Iโm going to have a yoghurt. I also bought some fruit snack pots just incase I get bored and fancy a change.
For my evening meals, Iโll have chicken and rice, chicken with salad or chicken with vegetables and a low-fat fry-up one night with my bacon and sausages.
For my basic shopping list above, with no additional extras included, it will cost me in excess of ยฃ60 from a well-known, low-budget supermarket (it would cost me considerably more in other supermarkets)
So, thatโs ยฃ60+ for my basic food shop on the basis and I eat almost the same thing every day.
ยฃ5.95 for my weekly group weigh-in. ยฃ3.40 for the extra meal deal because I didn't buy enough lunches for the week.
Then I might have a sneaky takeaway costing me up to ยฃ20 (just for me) after my weigh-in as Iโve been so good all week!
But it's only ยฃ5 a week at those slimming groups, right? Wrong โ
The total cost of my diet for the week is looking more like ยฃ85/90!
