This is Sam.
This is Sam’s van.

And Sam is very happy 😄

Why? Because it’s winter — and he’s just had a brand new Autoterm diesel heater fitted by GeedubVeedub.

Sam loves getting out on his mountain bike, whatever the weather. Cold, wet, muddy countryside rides are all part of the fun — but now he’s got a warm, dry van waiting for him when he gets back.

😊 This smile says it all.

A very happy customer, back behind the wheel of her T4 — now with a beautiful new Austops pop-top fitted by us at Geedubveedub.

Poptop installs on VW T4s are becoming genuinely rare these days.
Parts are harder to source, fewer companies will touch them, and many will simply say “it can’t be done anymore.”

But… we can still source them, and we can still fit them properly.

This van now has:
• A professionally fitted Austops pop-top
• Proper headroom and ventilation
• A huge upgrade in usability and comfort
• And most importantly… one very happy owner 😄

😊🚐 Look how happy she is! ⚡📚

This lovely customer came to Geedubveedub with a VW camper, a mains battery charger that wasn’t working… and only a little understanding of how her electrical system actually operated.

She’d never even seen her mains breaker box before — it was tucked away in a closed-off compartment under a drawer. But what she did have was a real desire to learn.

So we spent two hours together going through her system properly:
🔌 Found the hidden breaker box
⚡ Showed her how her mains charger and hook-up work
🔋 Tested everything step-by-step
🧠 Explained how all the components talk to each other
🔧 Got her charging system working again

And just look at the result — two thumbs up and a very happy camper!

She left with:
✔️ A fully working mains charger
✔️ A clear understanding of her electrical setup
✔️ Confidence to spot issues in the future

⚡ From CHEC to Complete Confidence ⚡

This VW came to us for a C-CHEC, which quickly revealed charging problems of all kinds.
A replacement split-charge system was ordered and fitted — but surprisingly, even that failed (a rare issue for that manufacturer).

With the couple due to go on holiday the very next day, we fitted a temporary manual split-charge switch just to keep them on the road and their trip on track.

When they returned, we completed the job properly — rebuilding the system with top-quality Victron components, fully functional and now solar-ready for their future upgrades.

They left with total confidence in their van — and it’s not the end of their story with us. Just the start of their next adventure.

When a van comes to us in need of attention, we give it what it should have had in the first place.
If it had been built by us, it wouldn’t be here — because we don’t use poor quality, sub-standard components that lead to failure.

This cable is a perfect example of what we often find: undersized, under-rated, and FAILED.

🔩 Build Quality Matters — Zero Compromise 🔩

Which would you fit to hold your pop-top down at 70 mph — the little one or the large one?

These photos show exactly that choice.
The smaller screws was fitted by the pop-top manufacturer — holding down the tie-down buckles for the entire roof.
The larger bolts are what we retro-fitted at Geedubveedub to make it safe and secure.

The pop-top is one of the most expensive and important parts of any camper conversion — and one of the easiest things to lose on a motorway if it’s not properly fixed.
We were actually quite surprised the vehicle arrived with its roof still attached!
That’s why, at Geedubveedub, we build and repair with zero compromise.

From electrical systems to cabinet work and roof installs — we check, test, and refit anything that isn’t up to our standard.

🔌 C-CHEC Success Stories — Knowledge is Power!

It’s been a busy and rewarding weekend here at Geedubveedub Leeds, welcoming C-CHEC visitors from Sheffield, Halifax, St Helens and Manchester — the word is definitely getting out there!

Each of these camper owners came with questions, confusion, and curiosity — and left with clarity, confidence, and big smiles. 😄🚐

During their Camper Health Electrical Checks, we covered:
🔥 Diesel heater controls
⚡ Inverters and their remotes
🔋 Battery registration
🚙 Intelligent alternators and how they affect split-charge systems
✅ as well as making sure all systems were working

For many, it wasn’t faults causing issues — just a lack of understanding about how everything works together. That’s exactly what the C-CHEC is for: practical education while we test and explain every part of your system.

It’s been a real pleasure sharing my knowledge and experience with people who were eager to learn and leave empowered.
